I really need my own computer.

Well, if anyone reads my bros entry, they will know what's been going on. Little brat beat me to it.
About all I can add is, I get to ride with my Dad more than he does. I do like to ride. When I see my leash, I know it's time for a rode trip and time spent with my Dad.

Life is good.

You know, I think I have it pretty good. I get to be with my Dad in his big truck all day long, and then when he gets back to town, I get to see my Mom and my brother, Cosmo.
Getting ready for a road trip, just don't know where yet. Could be to Alabama to see Aunt Lore, Uncle Richard and my MinPin cousins or to TX to Chris' place. We were suppose to go see Aunt Chrissy, but those plans are put on hold until after the 1st of the year.
I think I figured out why I was bothering Cos so much when we got together: I missed him. For the past week or so, I haven't hardly bugged him at all.
Have to Christmas shopping today. Looking for a sweater for a fureind of ours. Her name is Betsy Ross. She was adopted by our local VFW Post and this couple their are like her humans. They try to do as much for her as they possibly can. They want to take her home with them, but their other baby doesn't really get along with her too well. Some of the members buy her food and treats. She has a dog house outside the back door (under the roof/awning) so she's not out in the cold. Lots of insulation to keep her warm.
Betsy is a sweet heart, with a lot of medical problems. She has trouble with her ears and is almost blind.
Well off to see Santa Paws and see what we can find.

Oh so much to tell

You wouldn't believe the changes going on around here.
Mom and Dad split up last Sept. ('08) so that meant that Cos and I split up, too.
Dad got a job as an over the road truck driver and for the first few months, Mom dog-sat me for him. He built me a platform for my travel cage so that I could go with him on the road.
We have been to FL, NC, SC, AL and TN. The traveling is fun, but I am really a handful for him. I didn't get the nickname "Pee Pot" for nothing. I'm torn between being with him and getting to see and spend time with Mom and Cosmo. I miss them both.
Mom moved to a new place in June, and it seems like the break-up was a good thing. They are great friends now. Dad even invited Mom and Cos to come along a couple of times on his runs.
Mom lives close to where Dad is working, so we all get together a lot. In fact, while Mom is doing the typing, I'm laying here on the bed with Cos.
Dad has enrolled me in training classes. Mr. John says I'm doing really good. Still working on the barking thing, though. Don't think anyone will ever fix that!
COSMO WAKE UP, I WANT TO PLAY! Why is he sleeping when I want to play? I keep licking him and poking him, but he is just ignoring me. UGH!
Well, if the internet keeps co-operating with Mom, I should be able to update more often.

Mom's going to go and try to do an entry for Cos now.

Things have gone from bad to worse.

It's been awhile since I have been on and I have some more bad news. Mom and Dad are splitting up. I think all that's been going on has finally got to him. Mom still hasn't found a job and Dad is still on the road. With only the one check coming in, it has put a real strain on them both.
Mom is going to stay here until she finds something and then when she is gone, Dad will come home and either close up the house or sell it.
I don't know what is going to happen to me and Cos. I'm really worried about it. Dad can probably take me with him, but that leaves Cos for Mom to worry about. If she finds a place that allows pets, no problem. But then again, poor Cos has fits when he is away from me.
Well, that's it for now. Will try and keep you all posted. Keep your paws crossed for all of us. I know others have bigger problems than this.

Saturday morning

Mom is having a fit. She hasn't heard from Dad since last night. He is on his way to TX and so is Hurricane Ike. He said that he was going to try and stop somewhere in AL and then leave early to see if he could beat Ike. She understands that there is a time difference, but still, it's after 10 where he is.
For me and Cos, we are playing on the deck. Too muddy - thanks to our digging - to play in the dog run. Maybe we will go swimming later on. Think it's suppose to be around 90 or so.
Well, it's time to go for a walk and check the mail. Will bark at you all later.

More in the life of......as of today

Well my furiends it's been awhile, but all is about the same here. Not much new going on. Mom is still looking for a job and Dad is still on the road. Mom gets to see him every so often, only when she drives wherever he is at the time. Hasn't been taking us with though, as she never knows what Dad is going to stick in her car. She's had coolers, clothes (usually dirty!!!), antennaes, CB radios and whatever else he wants to get out of the truck. He keeps saying he is going to quit and come home, but he hasn't done it yet. He was in Florida last night and today he is on his way to Texas. He says on the way back he is going to drop the truck off, but I guess we will just have to wait and see.
Did get to see him last week for a little while. Mom went and picked him up, so he could come home and take a shower. Sure do miss him. I sit on the deck, just looking down the driveway waiting for him. I want him home, so life can get back to normal.
Mom is doing the best she can, but the two of us are a handful. I want to go one way and Cosmo wants to go the other. I know it's hard on him too. He is used to being the center of attention where Mom is concerned and now she has to share her time with both of us. I know she donesn't mind, though. She's a good Mom.
She set the pool up again. It was over 100 the other day and she thought that we would enjoy cooling off. We did. It felt really good.

Home from vacation.

Well, we made it home safe and sound.
It was great having Dad with us for over a week. He's gone again, who knows for how long.
Had a good visit with everyone. Really nice bunch of humans. And, the kids were fun to play with.
Didn't get to go to any of the dog parks, though. Fay "hit" while we were there and most all outside activities were cancelled. I'm really tired of the rain! I may be "waterproof", but I can't stand getting wet. It messes up my good looks!
Well, have a lot of catching up to do, and Mom needs the computer, so will go for now.

I'm so excited I can't stand it!

Mom just talked to Dad and he may be home tonight. Can't wait to see him. I don't like him when he is gone. We do have Mom, though. She's not working anymore - for now - so she's here with us.
Then on Friday, we get to take a road trip with Aunt Kathie and Uncle Henry. Headed to Orlando.
I hear the dog parks there are great. Hope we get a chance to check them out.
I get to see Dad's son Chris and Mom's daughter Chris and her family. Have met them before, nice humans, but Cos doesn't know any of them. It will be a treat for him. He likes meeting new humans.
Then my special day is Saturday. I turn 2 years old. Getting to be an old man. Had a talk with Mom on the porch today and she told me it was hard to believe that I will be 2 on Saturday. Where's my cake and ice cream?
Well, guess that's it for now. Mom needs the puter to do some work.

Well, Dad is still gone. Leaving Texas headed back to GA with a load. Don't know if we will get to see him or not. Good thing is, we have Mom home today. She played with us on the porch this morning, gave us both a brushing and put us in the pool to cool us down. I'm still not sure about that thing, but Cos seems to like it more and more. I even played fetch with her. First time I remember ever doing that. I'm not much for bringing things - just taking. She was out there just now, and I reminded her that she needed to come in and say hi to everyone.
Well, she has to go back to work tomorrow so won't have much going on.
