Quick Bio:
-purebred

Likes:
Gus loves: cottege cheese, going to petsmart, carrots, Dingos!, car rides, the dog park and being chased. But more inportant than anything in the whole entire world, Gus loves his (toy/stuffed animal) ape. Gus will not sleep with out his ape!

Pet-Peeves:
Gus has recently developed a new pet peeve--he hates having his back toe nails clipped. Gus is also having a hard time understanding that he is 60+ lbs. and our kitty, Mojo, is only 1.5lbs.--he can not stand having the cat out of his reach.

Favorite Toy:
Gary, the Ape.

Favorite Food:
Innova with an egg or cottege cheese.

Favorite Walk:
The Minnehaha Falls Dog Park

Arrival Story:
We picked Gus up on Labor day of 2003. As we later found out, we had bought Gus from what is known as a "Back Yard Breeder." The "breeder" had told us that Gus had been wormed--as it turned out, he wasn't and his belly was full of them. We got gus treated for the worms and are planning on rescuing our next rottie. *PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT BACK YARD BREEDERS, SAVE A LIFE, RESCUE A ROTTIE!!!*

Bio:
www.mnrottie.org Greater Minnesota Rottweiler Rescue is a new breed rescue organization serving the state of Minnesota. We are devoted to the Rottweiler and are determined to combat the negative image bestowed upon the breed by the media. While there are unsound dogs of every breed, the vast majority of the behavioral problems seen in the Rottweiler are a result of unscrupulous breeders, uneducated and inexperienced owners, and those owners who want to portray the dog as vicious, training and treating them in a way that leads to aggressive behavior. A well-trained, well-socialized Rottweiler is a loyal, loving and affectionate family pet. When properly socialized and supervised, a Rottweiler can be a wonderful companion for children. However, no dog of any breed should ever be left unsupervised with children.
