Arrival Story: Aimee came to us on December 30th 2003.
She came from Birmingham, from a lady called Pam. Pam had bred and shown Yorkies for years, but her health was failing and she decided it was time to start re-homing her furbabies. She had 7 at the time .
Aimee (a 6 year old) was the first up for adoption, and I was asked, by a mutual friend (Susan), if I would be interested in her.
Susan e.mailed me some photos and I rang Pam and agreed to go and meet them. Unfortunately Pam was taken into hospital and we never got to meet. I still went along to see Aimee though and I fell in love with her as soon a s I saw her.
I took her home that day.
I later wrote to Pam, in hospital, and told her how much I loved Aimee, and that she had found her new "forever" home.
Pam never came out of hospital and sadly passed away a few weeks later.
Most of her other yorkies had to go to a re-homing centre, so I feel I was extremely lucky to have got Aimee when I did. Bio: Aimee is small - about 7 lbs. She has the most beautiful soft silky coat, that is so easy to care for. She is easy to please too - a tummy tickle every 5 minutes and she is happy !!!!!
Now she has settled in, her character is really coming through and she is happy and playful. You would think she was 7 months not 7 years old. I've Been On Dogster Since:
