Favorite Food: Anything with meat

Favorite Walk: Anywhere

Arrival Story: Tyrone was bred in a racing kennel, but was too large for speed. He was given to a musher living above the Arctic Circle in Alaska. They said that he came into fish camp a day late dragging his hindquarters. He wasn't run for 1 1/2 years, but he was so upset that they eventually put him in the team again. Before they gave him to me, he ran 120 miles. He and Sher were shipped down to Anchorage in 2002 and given away to us.

Bio: Ty is a pretty funny dog. He acts like he's stupid, but he's the second most intelligent dog I've ever met (Kallie is the smartest). He's also very adept at stealing. When we were camping, Dad let him run loose while he was eating dinner. Ty ran right by Dad, snatched the chicken wing from his fingers while he was going by, and ate the chicken without stopping.
Ty is now a fully retired lead dog. He hates me now because he is too old to run and his body prevents him from doing what he loves. I take him out for short jogs in the morning though, and he seems to enjoy this (I even let him wear his favorite harness to keep him happy!). He has an unknown problem in his hindquarters where he can't stand up straight. It seems to be in only a few strains of Alaskan Huskies out of certian lines. I will not name what line he is out of unless specifically asked. But, even through his age and his hindquarters, he is a fun loving dog. He loves to play in water, and can still run (sort of) and play.
