A day in the life of a pup, or: what can I get into today?

Advice: don't get kennel cough!

I went for my first annual check-up on July 9th. I had been coughing for a few days, but I had also been chewing on an antler. So mom took the antler away, figuring the cough was an irritation from a piece of the antler. Well! It turns out that even though I was vaccinated against Bordatella, I somehow caught kennel cough! The vet-lady said that it was a mild case that seemed to be getting better already, but I had to take medicine just in case to keep it from turning into pneumonia, and I shouldn't be around other dogs until a couple of days after I stopped coughing. Those were the toughest five days of my life! No off-leash time except at night when there were no other dogs around - how boring! I tried to get mom to chase me around the house, but she said "no running in the house!". What's a pup to do? Don't get kennel cough!!

Poor Orion! I was stuck in the house after getting spayed and I didn't get any off-leash time at all! I still popped my stitches. Mom was really worried about me. Sorry you were sick and I'm glad you feel better!
