Bio:
Orion was the only pup in his litter with a dermoid sinus, which was successfully removed. He is a sweet puppy who just loves to be with his family. UPDATE: He is almost 16 months old now. He is showing that typical Ridgeback aloofness towards people he doesn't know, unless of course they have food! He is a big mama's boy, and I love him to pieces! I can't imagine my life without him.

Advice: don't get kennel cough!

I went for my first annual check-up on July 9th. I had been coughing for a few days, but I had also been chewing on an antler. So mom took the antler away, figuring the cough was an irritation from a piece of the antler. Well! It turns out that even though I was vaccinated against Bordatella, I somehow caught kennel cough! The vet-lady said that it was a mild case that seemed to be getting better already, but I had to take medicine just in case to keep it from turning into pneumonia, and I shouldn't be around other dogs until a couple of days after I stopped coughing. Those were the toughest five days of my life! No off-leash time except at night when there were no other dogs around - how boring! I tried to get mom to chase me around the house, but she said "no running in the house!". What's a pup to do? Don't get kennel cough!!

When mommy's away, daddy & puppy play!

Mom went on a school trip with my human sis last week. They left Wednesday morning and came back Friday afternoon. Mom told dad to keep me in my crate so I don't get into trouble while he's at work & just check on me often as he can for meals & potty breaks. Dad didn't want to do that, he said he felt bad. So mom set up the exercise pen so I could have some room to move around. I moved around, alright! I got bigger from when they bought the pen, I could lean my front legs over the top of the pen! i shredded my wee-wee pad, and dragged the whole pen/crate contraption across the room!!!!! (see my main picture) I had to stay in my crate after that. I didn't mind too much, I knew dad could me letting him just how much I didn't mind all the way down in the basement!!!! Boy, he runs fast when he hears me yell! Mom says I am a master manipulator. I don't know about that, but I am very cute and I know how to work it!!!
