Arrival Story:
I purchased Argosz from Texoma K-9 Training Center last year. He is a German import, purebred dog that was brought to the United States to be trained for police/protection work. I was looking for a protection dog for quite a while to replace Shadow when Shadow developed degenerative myelopathy and I knew he would not be able to continue to be my service dog, much less come with me in a truck. I looked at many dogs, and many training centers but I settled on Texoma, and Texoma brought me Argosz whom I very much liked. I recommend Texoma to anyone seeking a well trained protection shepherd. The owner is easy going, and friendly and sticks by his dogs. Argosz came home with us August of 2007.

Bio:
Argosz is SchH1 titled, obedienced trained, and trained for protection. He is a large dog topping the scales at anywhere between 85lbs-100 lbs depending on his appetite and when he has eaten. He is far larger then any shepherd I am used to. He is stable, he doesn't react aggressively without cause, and is calm around cats. Though he is a wee bit too interested in other dogs he doesn't start fights unless they start with him or they take his toys. He exhibits exactly what a German Shepherd should, he has a solid temperment, is not easily spooked and has no fear agression. He does however have a fear of heights! Strangely enough he hates being on the second floor of a hotel whose doors face the outside. He also has a rather wary nature when it comes to things laying on the ground, he must inspect all of them! Argosz loves trucking, but he likes to get out and smell all the new states or he's not happy. He however, despite his size and mouth full of teeth, is easily floored by his furbrother Storm, and will not even thing about challenaging him. He knews Rain is scared of him though, and takes every oppruntinity to scare her! He is still in training to be a full service dog as his offleash obedience needs a bit of work, Sit Means Sit dog training will be assisting in this manner.
