Annie loved loved LOVED snow! And she loved her bunny bruvver.
Pet-Peeves:
Being fenced in, not free to run and roam, was the bane of Annie's existence.
Favorite Toy:
Annie's favorite toy was a 2 liter bottle. And her bunny bruvver, they slept in the same dog house & shared the same yard with never a cross bark between them.
Favorite Food:
Annie would eat anything given to her.
Favorite Walk:
Annie's favorite walk was anywhere OUTSIDE the fenced yard
Best Tricks:
Annie's best trick was watching the children climb the chain link fence & then IMITATING them.
Arrival Story:
Annie showed up in our front yard as a small, unkempt stray. The children asked if they could keep her. I said if she was there when it got dark we'd put her in the fenced back yard for safe-keeping until we found her family. About 20 minutes later the children came carrying this cute, dirty ball of fur through the kitchen. "What are you doing?" I asked. "It's dark outside", they replied. And even though it was early afternoon, we all pretended it was dark and Annie was put in the backyard for safe-keeping. And there she stayed....well, sort of......
Bio:
Annie was a great escape artist. She learned to CLIMB the chain link fence. She felt free to leave when she wanted. And that was alot!! Our neighbors grew to know her and they would corral her & keep her until we returned home from work or school. Annie survived heartworms when there was minimal treatment & a high certainty of death. Annie survived being stuck on the fence in a lightning storm. Annie survived an attack of wild dogs who left her with 3 puppies. Annie couldn't survive the cancer that took her when her puppies turned 8 weeks old. Annie DOES survive in our memories and in our hearts. We love her for always.
