Leave a bone for Priscilla, Ingebars High Hopes

Nicknames: Shadow and Priscilla

Quick Bio:
Arrival Story: I found Shadow on a rescue site, purly by accident. I thank my lucky stars for Shadow, he is the best Dog I have ever had.. He is well behaved and protective. He loves to play and has a laid back personality and love other animals.. but becuase of his size they are usually intimidated by him.. He is not aggressive, but easy going and loves attention. He even thinks he should be a lap dog! He will sleep in the bed or on the couch and snore, just like a human! LOL My Shadow has sadly gone to wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge on April 12, 2008. He was diagnosed with bone cancer and all the options available were only to buy a little more time for him to be with us. None were the cure, that would heal his body entirley, my hardest decision ever was to do what would be best for Shadow. I could not see him endure an amputation, or chemo if only to prolong his pain for 6 to 9 months. He would eventually succumb to the cancer menace and I just couldnt see putting him thru that , only to have the Cancer win in the end. To let him go with diginity and as little pain as possible was the choice we made, our hearts breaking and heavy with grief. We brought our boy home and he is with us in his yard..under the trees he loved. His partner, Priscilla is still here, looking for Shadow's return. She is as wonderful a girl as Shadow was a boy.. God has blessed us with her as much as he blessed us with Shadow's presence during his short life here. I cant wait for the day I can see him again at the Rainbow Bridge and put his nose to mine and feel his eyes looking into my heart and loving me for eternity.

Bio: Shadow has a friend, Priscilla that lives with us as well. She is a retired show champion from the same breeder that Shadow came from. We have rehomed 2 of her dogs and both are just fantastic dogs. We love them both like family members and they go with us to many places.

Hello SR furriends..
Priscilla and Simon and our pawrents are all fine! just a little unhappy about not being able to correct the reason we dont get SR/Dogster email.. Moms regular email is shadow21918@yahoo.com,( feel free to send messages if you would like..) Mom even set up a Gmail account and the messages arent coming thru there either.. so Mom doesnt know what is up with this thing..

Mom and Dad have been busy working on cleaning up and sprucing up the flower beds and yard for the upcoming mowing / growing season.wooohooo. we love the bark at the lawn mowers.. BOL BOL

Well, We have had snow falling since yesterday.. and our driveway is completely drifted in! Daddy is outside now trying to open it up so he can go to work.. BOL.. Simon wants to chase the snow Daddy is throwing.. but Daddy wont let him.. he says he just gets in the way.. I am staying in the house with Mommy.. I am sleeping on the couch.. I told you I was a couch potatoe..
Mommy and Daddy say the house got too cold last night.. well, seems we need an oil delivery! BOL.. I dont think its cold in here.. Mommy says thats because I have fur all over my body! A double coat at that! Maybe thats why I pant all the time huh? So, Mommy is calling the oil compant to see about a delivery today..so they can be warm..I will lay really close to Mommy on the couch so she can feel my warmth .. I will take care of her.. BOL

this is a story I had to share with all my puppals.. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did..
Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my four-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could, so she dictated these words:
Dear God,
Will You please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with You in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that You let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.
I hope You will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when You see her, You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.
Love, Meredith
We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith, and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it, then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front
of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office.
A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.
Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith'. The handwriting was unfamiliar. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers titled 'When a Pet Dies'. Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith, along with the following note:
Dear Meredith,
Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away. Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with Me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.
Thank you for the beautiful letter, and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to Me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.
I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.
By the way, I'm easy to find. I am wherever there is love.
Love,
God
