A Message For All My Pals

I just wanted to let everyone know that I may be absent for a short while. Mom has to send the laptop off for some repairs, and she didn't want anyone to worry about me while I was gone. I hope to speak with all of my pals again soon. Mom says she will try to check Dogster a couple times a week at the library until she gets her puter back.

OMD..OMD...OMD!!!! Me?!!! I got picked as one of the Dogster Diary picks of the day!!! How pawsome is that!!!!!!! Mom got so excited that she almost dropped the laptop!!! Imagine me getting chosen...how cool. It's all happening!!! I'm gonna be a star!!!! Hollywood here I come!!! BOL!

On another note....
I have some sad news that my very best pal Nikaya has left Dogster. I don't really even know why, except that him and his mom have been very busy lately. I can't help but think in the back of my mind, that something has happened that would make them leave Dogster. Otherwise, I don't understand?!

Nothing much has been happening around my neck of the woods. It's been a lovely week with lots of sunny weather. I was able to take a trip to the lake on Thursday with mom and dad, and I got to go swimming. I was so tired afterwards, so I just slept in the back seat until we got home. I slept so good that night!!! Mom says that since the weather is getting warmer, that we can go swimming more often. I'm not sure if I enjoy the swimming as much as I enjoy chasing the ducks and geese. Tough call?! BOL!!!

Well other than that, I don't have too much more news. I am off to bathe in the glory of having my diary chosen!!!! Wags and wiggles...Licks and Love!!!

1. I am in the process of getting registered as a therapy dog. I love going with mom to visit elderly people, they are always so happy to see me, and I love to see then!
2. I love to go swimming more than anything in the world, but I absolutely hate to take a bath...go figure!
3. My favorite toy used to be my flump and my "Lucy", but my good pal Sophie sent me a new stuffed chipmunk and a kong!!! So now they are my favorites!!!
4. I lay on mommy's arm until I think that she's asleep at night, and then I quietly get up and move to her feet.
5. I love, love, love to chase squirrels!!!!
6. This morning I was a "coonhunter"...The stupid raccoons are back in the dumpster, so this morning, I went hunting for them! BOL!
7. I have a birthday on July 3...and I think mommy is planning something special. I heard her talking about some kind of cake for dogs...Hmmm....BOL!

Just My Luck

Well...it happened again. I got stung by a bee again!!! BOL! At least this time it wasn't on my lips!!! I went out for my morning walk on Saturday morning, and I stepped right on a honey bee! I was a big girl though, and didn't cry at all. I just limped around for awhile. Mom gave me a benedryl and put me to bed.
Nothing too exciting happened around here this weekend, other than getting stung. Mom stayed very busy with work, and dad very busy cutting the grass. I just hung out with mom mostly.
I got my prize package in the mail this week. Sophie sent me so many pawsome gifts! She even sent me a kong!!! I love it!!! Mom wasn't sure what to do with it, but Sophie told us to stuff it with treats! I had so much fun trying to get them out, then I got tired and gave up, so mom helped me get the rest of the treats out of it!! BOL!
Well I guess thats it for now...Bark again later!

I am deeply disturbed!

I am very upset this morning. I didn't have time to get on Dogster yesterday because mommy was so busy, but when I got on this morning, I read my very best good friend Nikaya's diary entry and saw that he got hurt yesterday! I feel so very bad for him. He is a very strong boy though, so I'm sure he will pull through. Mommy says we will keep him in our prayers and that he will be ok...I sure hope so! I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to my pal :(

Other than me worrying about my friend, nothing much has been happening. Mom and dad have been very busy lately. Dad is finally back to working one job so that he can spend more time with me and mom...Yippee!!! Mom on the other hand started working a temporary job...which stinks! But the good news is that I can go with her to work anytime that I want too!!!! YAY!!! The weather is finally staying very nice here in West Virginia. Which means soon, I can get out and go swimming. Mom says I have to get my leg healed real well first. It's doing much better though. No more limping, but it's still a little tender. I can finally get up and down the stairs again, but I take my time.

Well no more news for now....guess I'll write later!!!

4. At my new home with my new daddy!!! I am so happy here!!!

1. To the vet to get my first X-ray. It was a horrible experience. The vet and her nasty assistant wouldn't let mommy go with me to get the X-ray. I was so upset!
2. To Ridenhour Lake-my most favorite spot in the whole world! I love to go there and chase the geese and go swimming. I also do a pretty good job of catching and eating fish too!!!
3. To my maw-maw Millies to play in her big yard! I always love going to see Millie! She is so nice!!!
4. To mommy's brother's house in Williamson, WV. It was a pretty interesting visit. Me, two babies...not a good match!

I hurt myself

I had to go to the vet yesterday. It was a terrible experience! When I got out of bed Wednesday morning, I was limping very bad. Mom called the vet, and they said to give me a baby aspirin, and if it got worse to bring me in the next day. Well...about 2 hours later, my leg started to get really swollen and achy. So mom took me to the vet. They made me leave mommy to go get an X-ray. Mom was pretty mad because they wouldn't let her go with me...She had a fit. I didn't have a broken leg, but I did have a bad sprain. They said I had to take pain medicine, and restrict my movement. That silly vet told mom that I needed to be confined to my crate, mom said NO WAY!!! So, I've been hanging out in the living room. Mom brought my bed into the middle of the living room floor for me to lay on, so I have just been hanging out there. I can't wait until my leg gets better so I can go chase the squirrels!!!!
