He doesn't like when other male dogs try to hump him!! ha He hates it when we take his mushy rawhide bone away from him, for fear he'll choke!

He has a stuffed dog that has a recording that goes off when he chews on it, and it drives him nuts!

He sits, lays down and shakes. He sits down at the door before we go out for a walk. He's the best dog ever!

Arrival Story:
My friend kept telling me about his brother who owned this dog and how he was not taking care of him at all, and how he really wanted me to take the dog just to get him away from his brother. I really didn't have the money to adopt a dog, nor the time since I was really busy with my job. He finally called me up one day and said that he wanted to get the dog away from his brother and that he really wanted me to go see it. I agreed to go see him. I was appalled at what his living conditions were. He had a dog house that was less than half his size that he actually slept in.... ONLY because there was no other shelter from the sun. Both ends of the dog house were knocked out because he was way too big for it. He had no water, no food, no toys to play with. This guy's kids had no regard for this dog whatsoever. Once I called the dog to come to me, he came running like he hadn't seen a human being for years. It was so sad that it made me cry. He had open sores all over his back, he was extremely skinny, he was completely white from being dowsed with flea powder (who uses flea powder this day and age?) and just wanted to be loved. I immediately agreed to take the dog even though I had not prepared to have a dog at all. I left his brothers house and took the dog straight to Petsmart to get him a bath, get his toenails clipped and buy him some food and toys. When I got him home, he ran around my backyard like he was a new dog. He felt great and I think he felt even better knowing that he wouldn't have to go back to living in that situation ever again. I took him to the vet the next day to have his sores checked out. At first, the doctor thought he had mange, but it turned out to be a skin infection or possible sunburn. He gave him an antibiotic and I put him on Science Diet for Sensitive Skin and within a week, he looked absolutely gorgeous. He is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I just love him to death!
