Remi's First Class!!

Wow!!!!Today was fun!! Mom and dad woke up this morning. I just knew they were going to leave me home alone with Remi again, even though it is Saturday and they are not supost to leave us on Saturdays!! They started to pack a backpack full of our toys, treats and our water dish, so I know we were getting to go!! YAAAAA!!! Dog Park Time!!!! I just knew it, we are going to the Dog park!! And if they were packing a backpack, we were going to get to stay for a long time!! Maybe Dixie would be there. We got into dad’s truck and drove right past the dog park!! I started to protest…whats going on??? I told Dad, he missed to turn!!!! He just would not listen to me!!! Me and Remi desided to sit back and enjoy the ride…..We were with mommy and daddy, so life is GOOD, even if we are not going to the dog park!! We drove forever!! On a big rode with big trucks…..Then finally, we pulled up to this Ranch. There are horses and a donkey and some cows and Oh MY!!! A bunch of other dogs…..This is way cooler then the dog park!!! We got out of the truck and went the bathroom. Then we went in this big fenced in area, like the dog park, but it had all these cool things!!

Agility

Tunnels, A-frame, See Saw, Weaving poles!! Me and dad sat off to the side, while Remi and mommy played with the tunnels with other dogs….I kind of wished I could have played with Remi and mommy, But it is OK, Because I got to spend the whole time with Daddy. I love my daddy, He is a DORK!! But I love him!!

Remi did soo good!! I hope he doesn’t read this!!! I told him he did ok, but I was really proud of him. He ran through the tunnel almost perfectly!!!

It's great to see him do so good. He really is a great big brother and I love him!!!( if you tell him I said that I will deny it) He made me really proud when he did the recall. Diane, the teacher, asked them to try to do a recall from about 30 feet away. I really did not think he could do, I figured he would run the opposite way. He can be so friendly so I figured he would ignore mommy and try to go play with one of the other pups, but he didn’t!! He went straight to mommy!!! He did really good!!!

One of the coolest things about the ranch is they have horse!!! They are sooo cool and BIG!!! I wanted to play with them!!!! But Dianne said I couldn’t. I might scare them or they might kick me into the next field and then Mommy and Daddy might not be able to find me….that would be bad!!! I had so much fun!!! Mom and dad said we get to go back next week!!! I cannot wait!!!!!

SUNDAY!!!What a Weekend...

Well after Friday night and Saturday I didn't think it could get any better. I WAS WRONG!!!

First thing this morning we went to the park. Me and Remi played and played. Dad says we were at the dog park almost 5 hours yesterday (when Dixie was there). We stayed today about 2 and a half hours. Mom and Dad said they had to go to the store to get food...I like food. We did play alot...and Remi and I were hoping to see Dixie again today but it looked like rain. Not alot happened today but any day at the park is a great day!

Mom and Dad brought home some new toys and Remi and I got new a New t-shirt. Mom wants us to wear the shirts because it gets so cold at night...and we look cute in them.
Anyway, I am really tired. I will write more later. Remi and I were on a special mission today...Remi is kinda mad at me right now. Dad posted the Video of it on my page...he keeps calling it Lord of the Sticks for some reason.

Saturday Again!!!!

This was a great day!!! Mom and Dad took us to the dog park...like we do every weekend. This time, right as we were getting tired some people walked up to the gate and they had a little girl pup named Dixie. She was pretty-a German Shepard/Lab mix. (I am German). Anyway. We introduced ourselves and hit it off right away. We were fast friends and we were playing and running and I was showing her all my fav spots in the park.
But then there was Remi...who immediatly fell in love and tried to hog Dixie all to herself. Sometimes he makes me so mad. But we still had a great time. Mom and Dad talked to her Mom and Dad and they looked like they were having a good time. Dad says he likes Dixies parents they are good people. Mom agreed. Thats good cuz I like Dixie alot. She is really cool and friendly. She can run so fast. I almost couldn't catch her! It was so exciting!
I thought we weren't gonna stay that long today because last night (Friday Night) Mom and Dad were going out to dinner and Dad saw a dog off the leash out of the corner of his eye. Of course Dad stopped cuz he would never let a stray dog just run around-he might get hurt! Good thing Dad stopped the truck! The dog was soaking wet! and it was like 34 degrees outside!
Anyway, a few minutes later a nice couple from the apartment complex pulled up along with the property manager (she was on her way to dinner too!) The couple asked Dad if the dog he found was wet and he said yes. They said there was another dog just like it about a 1/4 of mile down the road at the intersection. They said they were going down there to get it. Dad suggested that they just bring them back to the complex and he would stay with them until the owners could be found. They agreed and went to get him. Dad got the stray pup corraled in the dog park and started to dry him off with towle while Mom grabbed Dads flashlight out of his truck. The pups name was "Buddy" and his parents phone number was on his collar! (YEA!!!)
Dad called- but it went straight to voice mail...A few minutes later the nice couple pulled up and let the stray dog out of their SUV...HE LOOKED IDENTICAL! (Black Lab/Rotties). Huge Dogs...SOLID BLACK. His name was Duke. He had a red collar and Buddy had a blue collar. Buddy was a little smaller. The nice couple left (they were going to church). So Dad stayed with both pups and tried to dry them off while Mom called the number again with no luck. So she called the Vet number on the collar no luck either.
A few minutes later Mom got the extra collars out of the truck so dad could walk them up to the Apartment-soaking wet dad wouldn't let me in the truck either. So he brought them up and started drying them off good and fed them and gave them water...boy were they famished! and thirsty!
About 30 minutes passed and dad finally got thru to someone on the phone. It was Duke and Buddy's daddy. He had just landed! He had been out of town since Wednesday! So Mom and Dad met their daddy at the entrance to the complex and explained what happened to their dad. He thanked my daddy and told him that he had probably saved their life. Dad told him he was welcome and that Duke and Buddy were great dogs and he would feel terrible if he hadn't stopped to help them. What an exciting weekend huh...whew.

I need to get to bed now. I will write more later...

I Love Saturdays!!!!

WOW, today has been really FUN. It started this morning. Dad woke up right when the sun started to come in the window (I know cuz I was sleeping on his legs…he keeps me warm). Well anyway, he had to go outside (but for daddy he just goes in this little room…mommy will get mad at him I am sure!) Anyway…he went back to bed and I thought it was gonna be a boring day but a little bit later, mommy woke up and made some food! I LOVE FOOD! Then mommy and daddy played with me and my annoying brother Remi and then I had to give Remi a beat down cuz he just annoys me. Then all of the sudden, mommy and daddy started to get their shoes and socks on (that means they are leaving :( ). BUT THEN they got out our harnesses! :) Then we walked down to the Dog Park. HOLY SMOKES! The maintenance guys cleared out a pile of tree stumps and sticks last week, cuz it was SO COOL! So me and Remi ran and ran, well Remi ran and ran…he’s a dork. He’s always like “lets run, c’mon lets run!” I keep telling him there is more to life then running. I am obviously more hound than him. He never stops to smell the flowers (not that there are any flowers…it was 40 degrees out) but he never stops to smell anything…except maybe poo. Anyway, Remi wanted me to chase him…like always. So I did and you know for a big dumb dog that likes to run he can’t keep up with little ol’ me. I was out running him all over the place. Daddy says its cuz I gotta a “low center of gravity” er whatever…he’s kind of a dork too.
So anyway, Remi wanted to go outside of the gate and race the cars as they drove by, he gets frustrated cuz he can only race them the length of the fence but mommy kept telling him “NO!” and then she’d throw a stick and stupid Remi would…you guessed it…run after it-dork. Anyway, I smelled all kinds of things and left some smells of my own (he he he). We ended up staying down there almost 2 hours! I am so tired now. I need to catch up on some sleep now. I am really gonna need my energy later when I finish my plan for world domination.
