Today our dog walker Paula came by for our regular midday walk. She comes on the days that mom is at work. Dad just happened to be at home. Anyway, as we walked out of the door of our house, I saw a dog across the street and I barked at him. He was a big dog, and he was off leash!!!! He ran over to us right on our front steps and tried to attack me. He was trying to bite my neck!!! Paula protected me & Finnegan although we were trying to get to that intruder. She yelled at the lady to come get her dog, while she stood across the street calling her dog. Of course he wasn't listening to her. She finally came over, put her dog on leash and quickly walked away, without a word to Paula!!! Dad heard the ruckus and when he came outside and heard what had happened, he ran down the street looking for that lady. But he couldn't find her. I bet they ran home!!! Paula has been our walker for several years. She knows all of the neighbors and dogs in our neighborhood and she said they weren't anyone she recognized.

Mom was furious when she got home. We live on a private drive that is a dead end, and there is a sign that says only owners and guests allowed. What the heck were they doing on our street off leash!!! Mom says she'll call the police if that ever happens again. They better watch out for mom and us - we won't be so nice next time!!!

We are so glad that you are alright Winston.

We have that problem here too, people who let their dogs roam because they live in the country! We have a leash law here but most people don't ever get caught. We can't take a walk in our neighborhood.
