Arrival Story:
Sweet neutered male Staffordshire Terrier needs loving home. He was found in a hospital parking lot, dirty, smelly, unneutered, with no ID and a tight collar. However, he is loving, sweet, and obedient (sits on command).
I have had him vaccinated, neutered, bathed, and micro-chipped.
I put up posters in the area, but no one has claimed him. I also listed him with the CACC (and no one has called to report him missing).
I have 12 cats, a dog, an iguana, and a parrot - all rescues - and cannot bring him into my house.
I am boarding him at my vet's office.
I do not know if he is socialized with other animals. I do not know if he is housebroken.

Last Saturday (9/22/07) I took Rusty to my friend's Brooklyn Animal Foster Network adoption event. I stood with him in the pouring rain, waiting to meet his perfect human match. We had no luck. Rusty, having just spent 3 days and nights in a cage at the vet's office had a lot of energy. He was barking and wanted to play with the other dogs. I ended up having to take him away. I brought him a doggie daycare (and boarding) center.
Rusty's been at the doggie daycare since Saturday, and I have been placing ads on web sites and looking for a home for him.
I've been watching him play on the internet (the center has video monitors set up). He's very well socialized with the other dogs.
