 Quick Bio:
Likes: Chasing reflections or laser pointer dots, "bicycle pedaling" in the grass on a warm day, men (canine and human)(she's a big Flirt), "stalking" birds and squirrels we see when we're out for walks (as if they don't see her coming...)

Pet-Peeves: Little dogs who chase her and bark at her and try to bite her tail

Favorite Toy: Anything that has a squeaker or makes noise, empty kleenex boxes (and she knows to not touch the full ones!)

Favorite Food: Rice, cheese, peanut butter

Favorite Walk: Off-leash beaches, walking trails, around our neighborhood where she can run into all her boyfriends (canine and human)

Best Tricks: High five (or maybe it's four), hiding between your legs, holding a biscuit on her nose, and (if you can call them "tricks") peeing and pooping on command, peeing and pooping in her corner in the yard. She can also still lie like a frog like a puppy.

Arrival Story: We call Kula our Valentine puppy since she was born February 12th. We located her through a breeder in Rohnert Park, California, and when we went to visit her and her brothers and sister at 5 weeks of age, we knew she was the one! It must have been meant to be because it also seemed like she chose us that fateful day as she approached us right away!

Bio: Kula is a small town on the island of Maui, and Kula is also the Hawaiian word for "golden"...an appropriate name, don't you think?
Kula still sees her brother, Woodstock in Salinas once in a while. We go down to his farm and Kula runs and runs and runs in the fields with him and their half-sister, Bonnie. I'm not sure if Kula and Woodstock know they're brother and sister, but they sure seem to have a lot of fun when they're together.

What's with all the rain we're getting here in California? I'm not fond of rain...or at least, Mom isn't fond of me getting soaked in the rain. All this rain doesn't make for good walking weather. Maybe Mom should buy me a wetsuit like my friends Cosmo and Quincy have and then we could get out for our walks. Then again, maybe not. I'm happy staying inside, nice and warm and dry. I could do without the wind, though...I don't like all that whistling and the trees rustling in the middle of the night...I pace the room and pant and pant and pant and pant and pant and eventually wake Mom and Dad up. They think I have a sudden need to go pee in the middle of the night, but really, all I want them to do is wake up and switch on the light. Then I can go back to sleep and am happy...but then they're not. Oh well.

I bet you never knew dogs could make good play tables. Well, neither did I until my 2 year old kid (human) brother (I'm not sure why Mom keeps calling me his Big Sister since he doesn't walk on four legs like me, he's not covered in fur, and doesn't have a tail) started laying out his puzzle shapes on my back while I was lying down. Sometimes he'll get his puzzle letters on my back while I'm walking around and they'll stay there until I sit down and they slide off. I'm a walking play table!
I've been with Alex since he was born, so I'm pretty used to him lying with me, sitting on me, pulling my ears, telling me where my nose is (like I forgot or something), counting to make sure I have all four feet... He's gentle most of the time and I just lie there and heave a big sigh and take it. When I've had enough, I retreat to the office and snooze. I snooze a lot...have to save up my energy for our walks and for when I get to chase the laser pointer! I have such a hard life...
