Puffy and I got to go for a super long ride in our new jogging stroller this afternoon. The sun was shining and there was a nice cool breeze blowing. We could actually smell the flowers we passed until Puffy started passing that terrible gas that he does from time to time. Momma was getting gassed because the wind was blowing the stinky smell in her direction. And just for the record let me tell you that it was NOT pleasent sitting in that tiny stroller seat crammed right next to ole stinky boy. Each time he passed gas I swear he smiled and looked super proud of the moment.

I think momma needs to check the stroller and make sure Puffy did not leave anything in there is you know what I mean, because he clearly had to go to the bathroom.

Family night

Last night we did family night on the big bed; we watched the movie 2012. Now I don't know how many of you have seen this moving but there are a couple of things I need to get off my chest.

MOVIE SPOILER: If you plan on watching the movie 2012 DO NOT READ the below diary entries - it will remain posted until 12/21/12 so you have plenty of time to come back and read it before then - BOL.

This movie is about the prediction that the world is coming to an end in 12/21/12. If this is true, should momma and daddy give me my Christmas presents early that year - sorry I was just wondering? Anyhow back to the movie...

In the movie several huge arks were built and strangely enough in China. Even when the world is coming to an end China gets the last manufacturing order - figures.

Why does it always happen in these types of movies that the "stars" of the show have such good luck that they can avoid the crumbling buildings and buckling roads to get to safety? Momma and daddy were hooting and hollering at some of the stupid things that occurred in the movie.

There were parts in the movie that were supposed to be scary and all the actors were looking like it was another day at the office. Momma would have be hysterical and crying like a big baby if she were about to die.

Where were all the dogs and cats? As the humans were running around trying to find an escape route, there were no dogs or cats out on the streets. Also only the queen of England and one other passenger had their pets with them. Momma has assured Puffy and I that no matter what she would not leave us behind. How could all those people in the movie not love their pets enough to bring them with them? Look at all the people who died during Hurricane Katrina because they would not leave their pets behind.

Air lifting elephants and giraffes – the animals just set there in the slings like this sort of thing goes on everyday. I DON”T THINK SO!

Oscar the dog walked to his owner over the rope that tied the ark to the pier – yeah, sure. What makes this feat even more unusual is that the owner wasn’t even dangling a tasty treat as a reward. Also, how in the world could Oscar even hear his owner calling with all those people rioting around him? I guess he was a real special pup.

The cargo airplane was loaded with expensive cars. When the pilot runs low on gas at no time did the people on the airplane attempt to lighten the load by getting rid of the cars or other items. STUPID! Of course they did use one of the expensive cars later in the show but that is another thing.

There are other things wrong with this movie but I don’t want to give everything away. This movie is almost three hours long so make some popcorn and get a big drink.

I rode in the jogging stroller with Puffy

Momma took Puff for the first ride in the jogging stroller simply because she was not certain how we would both react to the stroller and she felt it would be better to try with just one of us. Puff being momma's shadow was at her feet so she grabbed him and put him in the stroller and took off with him. The test ride was a success so then she came back home and put me in the stroller with Puff and off we went.

The seating area was a little snug but not so bad that we could not ride together. Momma pushed us all the way around the block and it was really quite nice. Neither one of us tried to get out of the stroller and we laid there and enjoyed the ride. Tomorrow momma is going to take us on a longer ride.

It's been a long day

Momma had to get Puff and I to the groomers first thing this morning (7:30) so we got up early and then got hussled out to the car. This new groomer is close to the house and is an older lady. She made momma sign a paper saying that Puffy is old and has health problems and that she, the groomer, would not be held responsible for any problems, blah, blah, blah.

Tha flyer that the groomer had said that she could cut dog hair any style or if no style was choosen then she would make recommendations, however when momma told the lady to cut our hair how she felt it needed to be cut, the lady refused until momma finally stepped in and told her what to do.

The end results are: Puffy is nice and white except for some stains around his eyes that could not be removed but he still looks very handsome. Me, of course I am beautiful even though the haircut around my head is kind of choppy and looks like something momma might have done.

Our new jogging stroller is still sitting outside in the sun airing out. Maybe momma will take us for a ride later today.

Hugs and kisses,

Coco Rose

Weight

Have any of you pups ever given thought to the fact that there is a spot on your Dogster page that has YOUR weight on it? I am listed in the 10 pound category but I am actually over ten pounds and NO I am not going to tell you how much I weigh either!!!! Weight in our house is a very touchy subject because both my humans love food and let's see how I can say this nicely: OVERWEIGHT.

When I was sick with kennel cough and momma had to rush me to the emergency vet he lectured momma on keeping my weight down. There I sat on his cold stainless steel table coughing my inside out and he stood there talking about my weight. Kennel cough has nothing to do with weight so let’s not even go there thank you very much. Momma was absolutely upset that the vet even said something about my weight because momma does not think I am overweight at all (gosh I really love my momma).

Anyhow, that brings me to this question, how many of you are really listed in the correct weight category on your page?

Hugs and kisses,

Coco Rose

It's here!

When momma got home from work today there was a large box sitting by the front door and in it is Puffy and my jogging stroller. Momma carried the box into the house and asked daddy to please put it together for her. Daddy said "No, you bought it so you get to put it together" - this is not a good thing.

Momma took the large box and placed it right next to daddy's feet and then started taking all the parts out of the box and put them right next to him on the sofa. Daddy finally got tired of this and went and sat on the love seat - BOL.

Momma was moaning and groaning as she struggled to put the stroller together (daddy was trying to watch tv) and after a few minutes daddy finally couldn't take it any more and put it together for momma - BOL.

Puffy and I took a spin around the dining room table but the stroller really has a nasty plastic smell about it so it is currently sitting outside airing out. We didn't get a horn with it nor any streamers on the handle bar but there is a tray with two cup holders and a place for momma to have her cell phone. There is also a pocket in the back and a larger mesh tray under the seating area. Momma will take pictures tomorrow.

Hugs and kisses,

Where is our jogging stroller?

I have been waiting for Puff and my jogging stroller to arrive but as of yet it has not. Momma was reluctant to tell daddy that she got us one but she is going to need daddy to put it together for us so she had to tell him to keep an eye out for the delivery. The one that momma ordered has solid rubber wheels so you never get a flat tire and has two shock absorbers which are supposed to give the riders more confort going over rough trails.

I'm now four years old

Yesterday I turned four years old. Happy birthday to me!!! Did I get a birthday cake, Ice Cream or presents? NO!!! Momma is trying to justify this by saying she bought an expensive jogging stroller for Puff and I but I think it's just an excuse. If it wasn't for Dogester's birthday reminder momma wouldn't have even know.

Coco's mom here - Yes, I have come to rely on wonderful Dogster to send me a reminder that one of the four legged children are having a birthday (I love this reminder!). No I did not buy Coco a present because I did spend A LOT of money on the jogging stroller, had to get my car repaired (again) and the last thing I need is more dog toys scattered all over the floor. Coco did NOT get a birthday cake or ice cream but I am going to be making Ella's peanut butter pie today and Coco loves peanut butter so I will be sure to give her some.

Doggy Jogging Stroller

It is a BEAUTIFUL sunny day in Southern California and momma is wanting to go for walks. I like to go for walks with momma but it is hard for me because if it is too hot out then I get overheated. Puffy also likes walks but now that he has a spinal injury he is not allowed to jump down even off a curb. Our good pup pals Tinker Bell and Halo Kitty just got a jogging stroller and you should see it as it's really fancy! Anyways the more momma thought about it the more she liked the idea of getting us a stroller too so that is just what she did. Momma ordered a jogging stroller from Ebay now all we have to do is wait for it to arrive.

I wonder if it is going to have a horn on it - Beep, beep - get out of our way!

Hugs and kisses,

Coco Rose

Groomers

March 19th 2010 4:29 am

Yippee - I'm NOT going to the groomers this weekend after all! The place where our old groomer used to work is very noisy. They have a blower that makes a terrible loud roaring noise and momma thinks it is too scarry for us. She spoke to the owner about this and was told that the owner was going to take care of the problem but it would take a little time. She assured momma that she would have it fixed in two months. Well it has been over two months and the noise continues. When momma spoke to the owner about the noise situation a second time she was again told that it would be resolved in FOUR months.

Those of you who know us are well aware that my momma has a sever hearing impairment so she is really concerned about the workers who work in this shop. Hearing loss is nothing to chance and she just doesn't feel right to support this grooming shop when the work conditions are so poor so she is going to find another place to take us to.

Until then I remain stinky, messy and very happy - BOL

Hugs and kisses,

Coco Rose
