10/11/13 The BIG storm

Hi pals,

We had a big storm blow through yesterday morning. The sky had very black clouds forming and were coming our way when we woke up. Puffy and I hurried outside and did our business and then went back inside for a morning snack. Around 7AM mother nature started blowing strong wind and then decide that wasn’t enough and added rain, hail, sleet and cold temperatures. We were all waiting to see if there was going to be some snow but it didn’t.

Something happened to cause the electricity to go away so we had no TV, internet, lights, water and any of the other modern conveniences that we are used to. In late afternoon daddy got in the truck and drove down to the cluster mailboxes and someone there told him that the windstorm took out the electricity in Zuni, Ramah and some other areas. We were all left in the dark. It finally was restored around 1AM this morning.

Today it is nice and sunny but there is ice all over the place. This is a bad situation because somehow Puffy found some and again threw out his knee cap. He is in pain so momma put him back on the human grade pain medication. The vet told momma this is going to be a chronic condition because surgery can’t be performed on Puffy so each time the knee cap gets popped out, the only thing we can do is medicate him. He had been doing so well, running and playing and it looked like he had recovered. Momma once again wrapped his leg to stabilize the knee and he has been sleeping. I wanted too play with him but momma said “NO” and put Puffy in a crate so I couldn’t jump on him. His leg isn’t all twisted this time so hopefully he will recover quickly with his pain medication and some rest.

I would also like to say THANK YOU for the support and loving words you sent me with the passing of Arleenton, my bunny sister. Puffy and I have enjoyed sharing Arleenton with you but now it is time for her to hop free at the Rainbow Bridge.

Hugs and kisses,

Coco Rose

Coco Rose - so sorry things aren't going well. That was pretty scary with that storm. Our weather is still hot, but nice at night. You and your furmily will be in our prayers.

MISS COCO- SO SORRY TO READ OF ARLEENTON BECOMING AN ANGLE. Poor Puffy's knee..... We will remember you in our prayers.

No electricity! We understand that...happened here last Saturday with the stormy wknd. We were only out 3 1/2 hrs. but I was so COLD! It had dropped to 30ish outside. I snuggled in 3 blankies with Gma.

Gma should be off to her massage. She canceled again! 2 wks. in a row due to weather. This time it is 52,raining,blowing,sticks flying around and NOW there is a Tornado watch for our county until 8 p.m. I was having a fit with sticks hitting the house. Gpa was already in town. We found him and gave him the errands. There are big puddles to just make the garage. Gma said, the road will be a mudhole!

I'm so happy! I was having a meltdown with the noise....
Love you, Mazy

BTW- several times in the last 2 mos. my dogster time hit the toilet due to storms and electrical.......Poo!

Oh my goodness my sweet girl. So many things going wrong. It has got to get better. Poor little Puffy. I don't like hearing that he is in pain.

We had a big storm on Wednesday. Lots of rain for Sandy Eggo, It was the first rain we have had in many months.

I am heading over to Puff's page to give him the Power of the Paw.

Love you!

Thank you Anya for the prayers. One can never have too many of them.

Mazy - A Tornado watch! How scary. I think you need prayers also. "Please dear Lord, keep Mazy and her loved one safe."

Hobo - Puffy was doing so well after the last incident so it is very disheartening that he is once again in pain. Thank you for the POTP for him.

Hershey - I tried to give Puffy lots of love but momma put him in a crate so I have to leave him alone. Sheesh, how am I going to help him if I can't get to him?
