Yup, daddy killed a neighbor yesterday and I'm sitting here wondering if the police will figure out who "did the deed" and come and take my daddy away.
It was really an accident but I don't think there is a way the humans can prove it. Momma was there at the time but wasn't paying attention to what daddy was doing so she didn't see the killing
Here's what happened: The humans were coming back from Gallup and daddy was driving down the 8 mile dirt/gravel road towards home. All of a sudden daddy said "Did you see that snake in the road"? Momma had been looking to the right hand side out the passenger window so she said "What snake"? "The one that raised it's head and hissed right before I ran it over". "OMG! Is it dead or clinging to the underside of the truck"? Daddy looked into the rear view mirror and said "Dead! laying in the road". "Was it a Rattlesnake" asked momma? "I don't know and I'm not going to stop the truck to go over there and look".
So now all I can do is wait and see if someone comes to take my daddy away.
Coco Rose - sobbing her little heart out....
Coco Wose, mabbe ged yur Daddy tu gwow a beard, so when da powice come tu hawl him off tu jail, dem will nod wecognize him.

SSS - shoot, shovel, silence
I know your Daddy didn't shoot the snake. He didn't go back to shovel it. Some coyote will have a nice meal. But Evfurrybuddy, keep quiet.
It'll be alright.
Zoe, I like the way you think. Can I be on your team for Wilderness Survival Training 101?
Runnin' over a rattler is considered a public service 'round these parts... if da authoritease come around your place, it will probably be to give him a medal or sumthin'......
If it was a rattler, you daddy did a good deed. Some bird or coyote will enjoy the feast. It is all good.
They're right! Your Daddy was doin' a GOOD DEED for the HOMELESS ANIMALS OF THE EARTH! Now your Daddy will have good juju! That's very kind and thoughtful of him!!
I hope the police see it that way!
That would be scary.
Yeah, da authorities might be coming to thank him and give him a medal.
Dat sounds like a good thing he done - he should get a medal!
