We had early morning visitors in the garden today: a herd of deer had jumped over the fence and made themselves right at home. Daddy said they stayed for about two hours before they decided they had done enough damage and moved on. We went out to check on the garden afterwards and only four little plants are left so we’re guessing they won’t be back for a while.
Got to go and find some fresh deer poop...
Hugs and kisses,
wow....hope you enjoy the poop...BOL
Durn deer, eatin' the garden.... maybe your daddy could have gotten one and made you some venison beef?????
Coco, please tell me that your daddy doesn't hunt Bambi. I love Bambi. Just have daddy make the fence taller.
Momma thinks your momma should plant Nasturtiums. They grow like fire and spread out all over the place, especially for the deer. They are edible for humans too. Next time your momma goes to town, have her buy a bunch of seeds and plant them were the deer can eat them. Cheap deer food.
One time, momma planted them in our back yard and they took over. There were a elevenbendy billion trillion of them all over the place.
My Granddaddy once bought a goat to eat a lot of the stuff that was growing on his land (he had almost 40 acres). The goat (whose name was Casey decided that his garden was a lot tastier than the weeds he was expected to eat. When I read Hobo's comment about the nasturtiums, I thought about Casey....he would probably think the garden tastes better than them.LOL
Sounds like your garden got kinda deer-cimated. BOL!
BOL, DFB!! an' BOL, Whitwey!!
We have NO deer in our garden...once a moose and once a bear, but NO DEER. Momsie thinks the chickies keep them away????
:-/ What do your neighbors do about deers in their gardens, Coco?
