We have been having some nice sunny days with the temperature getting up to 79 degrees but get this, overnight we again had freezing conditions and the water in daddy’s tile saw was frozen solid this morning. Momma is concerned that the small plants she put outside this last week are probably dead but she hasn’t gone outside to check.
Now if that isn’t bad enough, there is a fire burning in the Sandia Mountains that is out of control. Thus far, we haven’t seen any smoke from the fire but the winds are once again picking up so we are paying close attention in case we have to evacuate. This is one of the major drawbacks with living in the mountains surrounded by beautiful trees. The dry conditions have caused trees to die thus adding fuel to any fires that might spring up. Also there are lots of abandoned properties with and without homes on them so they don’t have humans cleaning up the dead debris. We went riding around our neighborhood yesterday and saw a 1700 square foot house on 6.5 acres of land listed for sale at 29 thousand dollars (2 bedrooms/2 baths). It was listed as “U-Finish” – “As Is”. Also, our closest next door neighbor has listed her home for sale. Apparently people have decided they don’t want to live here anymore. Daddy thinks the economy is forcing them to sale as some have probably lost their city jobs and can no longer afford to have vacation property. There is so much property for sale here that one can get a really good buy.
Hugs and kisses,
Hope the fire stays far away from all of you, Coco....
Heard on the news they are having wildfires in Southern California, too.....
I was just about to say, you may as well be back in SoCal, with the fires and all. It's sad that people are moving away. Hopefully you'll get no fires, and a bunch of new neighbors soon!
Hope that fire stays away!
Paws crossed no fires come your way!
Paws crossed those fires stay far away from you. Too bad the economy is forcing people to sell their homes. House prices have really dropped where we are and there are many properties for sale.
Stay safe, pupses!!

Oh Coco, I wonder if you should have stayed in California. It hasn't been so good for you all. Now I have to worry about fires too. I already worry about you enough. I think I will ask momma if I can come and live with you to protect you. She won't miss me, she has Luna and Milo.
"What Momma?" "You will miss me?" "You want Luna to go instead?" Momma thinks Luna is nutzo and she needs a lot of room to run around. "But momma, Coco loves me not Luna." "What do you mean Puffy can have Luna?"
Hobo whispers.. "Don't worry Coco I'm coming not Luna."
WOW>> 29,000.000 .. if mom could convince dad to move she could retire .. how close is the closest golf course .. BOL !!!
