At approximately 11:50AM today, Bay-Ling was sent to the Rainbow Bridge. She was loosing weight and this weekend she started having problems breathing so this morning momma and daddy drove off the mountain and went to Gallup to the local Vet. Blood tests came back normal and nothing could be found wrong except that she was very skinny and was still having problems breathing. Daddy and momma thought she might have had a hair ball or other obstruction inside of her so the nice vet did a chest X-ray. Daddy and momma were beginning to breath easy thinking that whatever the problem was it was fixable. However, life sometimes has a way of throwing a curve ball from time to time as the vet came out into the waiting room with a syringe filled with watered down blood. She said that Bay-Ling's chest cavity was filled with this watered down fluid that she couldn't see her lungs and that was why she couldn't breath. Daddy asked her if it could be drained and the vet said it could but all it would do is give her maybe one more week before it filled up again. We were told that we could take her home but having her die struggling to breath just didn't seem right so she was sent to the Rainbow Bridge with daddy and momma at her side.
Coco Rose, Puff, mommy and daddy, we are so sorry to learn of Bay Ling's passing. Your parents made the right decision, even though it was a hard one. My parents were in that exact position when I passed last year. Love and thoughts to your family at this difficult time. Bay Ling was welcomed by all of us angels up here at the Rainbow Bridge.
