ON GOING SAGA OF LIL MAN 04/16/2012

wooof,woof all, I am so sorry to have to say this but Lil Bit is doing much worse. His little nose just bleeds all the time. Yuck what a mess, but mama and dad don't mind cleaning it up cuz he can't help it. We were hoping that maybe it was just a little scab that had broken but the doc said it was the tumor(?). They told us before it was heading toward his brain and this is just some of the stuff ya have to do when you have a sick doggie. Mama and dad have to give him pain meds 3 times a day and mama just hates it, but it makes him feel better so, she does it cuz she has to keep Lil Bit comfortable. I guess he will go to the bridge soon. We just don't want him to be in pain. He has been a bery brave little guy. Mama and dad get wet eyes all the time and me too.....but Lil Bit has a bery good friend and her name is Loolah and I think he likes her a lot!!! I can tell he thinks about her all the time. Me I just try and stay out of the way, but I know mama and dad still love me too. They just have to take extra special care of Lil Bit cuz he is sick. I still get belly rubs and kisses from mama so that keeps me happy and my dad still takes me for a walk almost everyday. Lil Bit can't go anymore cuz he can't breath on one side of his nose and he doesn't really feel good anyway, so when I go walkie, walk with dad, my mama stays home with Lil Bit and just totes him around til we get back. Mama has to give Lil Bit his meds again so I'll check back in later. Thanks everyone for being so nice to my brudder!!!! wags 'n lix

ON GOING SAGA OF LIL MAN 03/07/2012

Wuf,Wuf guys. I have a very sad story to tell:( My brudder, Lil Bit has cancer!!! it's an inoperable nasal tumor that has eaten half of his nasal bone which has made one nostril unuseable as it's collapsed, it's eaten part of his left orbit, and on towards his brain. That's why we haven't been around for awhile. We are just trying to keep Lil Bit comfy. All those big words I said, I'm not sure what it all means but I know it's not good! Mom and dad just cry all the time and I just know there is something wrong with Lil Bit?? I can smell it and we have been to so many docs! It's a real bummer with Lil Bit. First he goes blind, then he has most of his teeth pulled on the left side due to an abcess, so he can't keep his tongue in his little mouth and now this!!!! This little guy just can't get a break!!! Please when you say your prayers tonite, say a special prayer for Lil Bit. He really needs a miracle. Please also stay in touch with Lil Bit that would cheer him up!!! wags 'n lix, BAYL

ON GOING SAGA OF LIL MAN 01/04/2012

HAPPY NEW YEAR my furry furends...yikes and what a year it has been!! We sure hope the new year is better for all our furends and even folks we don't know, if you need something, then we hope you get it. We went on a trip to Va to see my mama's niece and I hated that big time:( They have a cute little chi mix and she is real sweet, woo-woo, but they also have a big old boy named Bear and he is part German Shepard and part Pittie. That guy is so strong!! but I don't let him scare me, no way!! I bark right back at him cuz my mama's right there and she won't let him get me, BOL, BOL....I'm so bad, sometimes(te-he) Anyway we are home now, but it was a very long drive and my dad got speeding ticket, LOL....he's so mad, BOL..BOL..BOL..and ya know mama is mad at him, bol...anyway my computer time is up already so I'll see ya later..Woof, Woof, wags 'n lix to all our furends

ON GOING SAGA OF LIL MAN 09/21/2011

Wuf, Wuf all, my whole family is so upset! Poor Lil Bit,(my brudder) can't have his surgery and now he only has maybe 2 more years until he is completely BLIND!!:(:(..we are trying to cope but it's so hard. He is only 10 years old and way too young to be totally blind! Poor guy we thought his operation would do the trick and he could run and play and not run into things anymore, but they doc did a test the morning of the surgery and said he wouldn't do it cuz it wouldn't work. Lil Bit has some kind of disease in his eyes so it won't be much longer until my brudder can't see at all. The doc gave us a book on how to care for a blind dog, but that wasn't what we wanted at all. We had to go all the way to Charlotte NC, and spend the night just to have them tell us at 8:00 a.m. the next morning he couldn't have the surgery, so the drive home was very sad:( But we will take care of him just fine. Anyway I'm the Brudder so I can protect him and we can still take him for his walkie, walks as long as it's always the same way so he doesn't get scared. We wouln't want that to happen, ever!!! I guess that's why God let us rescue Lil Bit so he would have a good home no matter what. We still lub him just the same, even when he can't see at all. I'm gonna post this on my brudder's page too cuz he can't see to good now, poor guy...BAYL

ON GOING SAGA OF LIL MAN 08/04/2011

WOOF, WOOF ALL, I know long time no bark, what a summer bummer this has been:(...it's just been so bloody HOT we hardly ever go fur out walkie, walks anymore. sometimes we go real early in the morning when it's not too bad, but most of the time it's real bad!! I have been such a good boy and not even a little walk to the church and back I'm not even asking to go all the way around the block anymore, me a sad pup these dayz:( But the biggest news is that my brudder Lil Bit is going to have his eye surgery in just 4 more weeks. I just heard my mama and dad talking about it. We have to take him to NC to have the surgery, cuz nobody here in SC knows how to do it. So we have to go there and we get to stay at a motel, cuz after his surgery is over mama doesn't want to drive all the way home again cuz we have to take Lil Bit back first thing the next morning for his check up. But at least he will be able to see again:) That's good for him!!! Poor Lil Bit, and poor mama's money probs, yep, I heard them talking about that too and it's gonna cost almost 3K. I'm not sure how much that is but I guess it's more than doggie food, cuz we have had to wait cuz mama just didn't have it all at once. But Lil Bit will be better and maybe he can play again and not just run into the wall and coffee tables and trip over his own toys. At first we used to laugh at him cuz we just thought he was being silly, but when we took him to the docs, he said Lil Bit had some kinda "cat" in his eye??? I don't see any kitty cat in his eye??? but then again I'm not a doc! Anyway it will get better, fur everyone we know and even folks we don't know. We say pawrayers fur everyone. So maybe you guys could say some pawrayers fur Lil Bit that his surgery will go off with out a hitch. ON GOING SAGA OF LIL MAN 05/24/2011

Woof,Woof All....things have been so crazy around here you just wouldn't believe it. Today is my brudders Woofday which is a good thing but he has gone blind in one eye and can hardly see out of the other one. He is going to have an operation but he can't see the special doc until July!!, then we don't know when the surgery will be. It's bery expensive cuz I heard mama talking about it on the phone. But one of our bery best furends told us about a thing called "chip-in" and mama is gonna post it on Dogster and on her Facebook page. His operation is gonna cost $3500.00 and that's a lot! So the "chip-ins" just might help. It's a thing that anyone can help donate thru mama's PAYPAY account, but you have to say when you need it by so we have to wait until Lil Bit goes for his initial eval and then we can post. Of course the doctor is in another state so when he has his surgery we have to spend the night cuz the doc has to see him the next day and check his eye out then we can bring him home. Mama & dad don't want to leave him there overnight by hisself and believe it or not I don't want him to stay overnight either. We are so thankful for our bery good furend Loolah:) telling us about the "chip-in" deal. Cuz mama and dad didn't know how they were gonna pay for it. Maybe this will help some. We also had company for almost a whole week and it was terrible. Me and Lil Bit had to stay in a room all by ourselfs cuz we might bite the kids. We don't like little kids and they are coming back this way next week, lucky us:( BOL, BOL I just hope they don't stay as long this time. I guess we just arent' used to having babies around all the time and they even wanted to play with my toys, the little brats. Well me gotta go now, It's gonna be real hot here today so I'm staying inside as much as possible. I'll touch back and let everyone know whats going on with Lil Bit as soon as we find out whats going on. I just hope we can pull this off cuz our doc said Lil Bit was far too young to be blind. He has cataracts. What a bummer:(

ON GOING SAGA OF LIL MAN 03/10/2011

OMD!! Today is my Woofday and I'm 8 yrears old, but I atil look good, BOL..that's what mama tells me. My doc even said I was in good shape for my age. Not over the hill yet, BOL BOL...I don't even have to take my seizure meds anymore or meds or my joint meds and I lost almost a whole pound! Yep, thin and trim. that's me. Mama got me a Woofday puresnt and she give it to me last night. I just couldn't wait. It was the biggest BONE that I ever saw, I wasn't sure what to do with it at first, so my dad broke it in half fur me. That worked out just fine, and boy was it good, yummy in the tummy. I never had a cooked beef bone before, my mama told dad they were selling them at the store. I worked on that bone fur 4 hours last nite and wouldn't stop umtil it was gonie, gone. I'm saving the other half fur later. I hope mama is gonna get me a cake too...I know they aren't the best for the waist line but I'll share with my brudder and pawrents. See what a good boy I am?? Well sometimes I'm a little stinker, than we all are sometimes. I made a new furend fur my Woofday too. Cute little thing, what a treat that was too. Mama & dad are trying to sell our house again so we can go back to Ca. so it's been kinda crazy around here. There were strangers in my house all day yesterday and everytime they came over we had to leave. When the last folks came over mama took us to get ice cream. I didn't like it, but my brudder sure did. He ate almost all of mama's. But I didn't care cuz I got that beautiful big BONE,.......what more coulda guy ask fur??? Well I'm gonna go fur my walkie, walk this morning, it's just a little wet so I wanna go now before it pours!! I hate the bad rain, but the snow is worse. Glad it only came here 2 times since we have been here in the south.(YUCK)We like Cali better, cuz that's our real home. Be Barkin at ya later.....

ON GOING SAGA OF LIL MAN 11/18/2010

Woof, Woof All I bet everyone thought I just dropped off Dogsters,but I didn't! I just haven't had any 'puter time. Me and my mama vent on a vacation and I got to go on an airplane ride twwwooo times, We just went to the eastern shore to see a furend of mama's that she hadn't seen in over 30 yrs(I didn't think my mama was that old), BOL...BOL...(sssshhh, I never said that) Anyway we had a real good time, but the lady we went to see had 4 catz!!:( n' 2 of themwere real big, one weighted 32 lbs!and that was a mean cat, he even bit my mama for no reason. We called him the "evil cat" after that. Mama said she had never in her whole life had a cat bite before. First time for eveything? She didn't do anything but scratch it's back and then it turned around and bit her right on the hand.Bad kitty!! I didn't like tht airplane ride ever much cuz it was so nosiy, but all the people around us on both airplanes complemented mama on how good and calm I was and she was so proud of me. But I was scared, even tho I didn't show it to the strangers and I didn't even bite or growl at anyone. I'm such a good boy and mama got me some real chicken at McDonalds when we arrived I was such a good boy. Mama said it was just a little plane with 13 rows and that's all,(YIKES) We ususlly go on big airplanes and they don't make as much nosie. But it only last 1 1/2 hours in air so that was a good thing for me anyway and we were in the 3rd row so we were the first to get off.YEAH!!! We had such a good time I wouldn't even mind going back, but I sure wish those catz weren't there! I played with one but the she was just a kitten and chased me right back,I wouldn't have hurt her for anything I just like to chase them, but not the big ones, furget it! Lil Bit had to stay home with my dad, ha-ha and he missed us too cuz my did doesn't take care of us as good as mama does or fix our meals. i just did one thing bad the whole time and that ws eat the dry cat food that was one the floor, not bad either for cat food. Actually it was a nice change from my usual diet of weight managment food. Mama took me off the phenobaritol and I think I'm losing some weight, which is a good thing and my legs don't hurt anymore. Well I gotta go now mama said enuf puter time fur me.(darn it) but I'll be back don't ever count me out. Oh yeah thanks everyone for the pawrasents for T-day and Halloween, let me hear from you guys once in a while and check out my first video that mama finaly postd to my paige, Bark at ya later guys and have a wonderful Turkey day!!! wags 'n lix to all my old and new furends. but while we wee away the weather was great there and mama still took me for daily walkis,walks and right outside the patio door where we were visiting there were ducks and geese and I got to chase them too,(Didn't try n' catch em just wanted to see them run away and boy was that funny, BOL..BOL

ON GOING SAGA OF LIL MAN 07/30/2010

WOOF, WOOF ALL me and my brudder haven't been around in a bery long time cuz my dad's been real sick and was in the hosptial I know cuz I heard mama on the phone. He had a total knee replacement on the 1st of June and then on the 21st he was back in that place again cuz he had 2 heart attacks:( I do know that's bad cuz I have a bad heart. We were so lonely when he was gone cuz mama had to go to that hospital place all the time too. Me and Bit couldn't go and visit. But we talked to him on the phone:) But he's home now and doing much better. When he came home we were just howlin out loud!! We even went on a short walkie, walk the other day. we haven't been for our regular walks in a bery long time. Well I don't mind too much cuz it's been real hot here!!! I'll be glad when we can start our reagular walks again, cuz I'm really outta shape, just veggin out. So our summer has really been a bummer:(, but dad couldn't help it and at least he quit smokin and that's a good thing. Well I hope all our furends have had fun this summer. but mama and dad promised that in the fall we are going on a vacation, cuz everyone has cabin fever real bad(not sure what that is), but it's gettin us outta the house for some fun. Hope all our furends have had a great summer and we will be checkin in again real soon you guys. we sure miss our furends.....BAYL

ON GOING SAGA OF LIL MAN 03/11/2010

Wuf,Wuf well yesterday was my Woofday and mama made it as special as she could and some of my bery, bery good furends remembered. that was the bestest part, well that and the little cake I got. It wasn't a big cake, not like last year but I think mama called it a "cupcake" and I had to share it with my brudder. That didn't seem fair to me after all it was MY Woofday!!! but I got to go on an extra special long walkie, walk and one of the neighbor doggies came out to play with me and Lil Bit. Mama doesn't like that doggie becuz he doesn't have good pawrents like we do and they just let him roam the neighborhood and he hasn't had any shots and he's not even "fixed"! Yikes, mama says thats a real bad thing, but he's kinda funny looking and he does like to play. He even plays with Lil Bit. I would really like to bite him! But chasing him around is fun too. but we don't like it when he comes in our yard cuz sometimes he poops in our yard and then mama or dad has to clean it up. That's nasty! so mama ususally chases him off. I think the only reason we played chase yesterday cuz it was my Woofday and I needed the excercise. Me and Lil Bit had our teeth cleaned bout a week ago and my vet found out I have an "enlarged" heart, he showed my mama a picture of it and she was really upset!!! It doesn't hurt or anything like that, it's just that one of my valves doesn't work right and all the blood gets backed up, so here we go again w/more meds. Well it's just a half a pill a day , but I already have to take meds for my seizures. Just the luck of the draw. The doctors here don't fix hearts like they would in Cali. I even had an eye operation in on my eyes in Cali and went right to a specialist. He only treated eyes, can you believe that??? So mama is trying to find a doc that will do sumthing for my heart prob. Well I gotta go now so I'll be back, hopefully with better news, but I just wanted my furneds to know how happy I was that I was remembered on my Woofday....BAYL
