Thanks to all my new furriends for the awesome supportive words and gifts. I think it might take a few to get through them all, but I see them and wow! It's awesome and what a great feeling. You all are the best...thanks for the love and support!

Zach's mom here...we had to let Zach go last night at 11:50 p.m. His heart was in pretty bad shape and he reached the point where he couldn't even get up to go to his water bowl without having a panting attack and passing out. We could have had him go through a battery of tests to figure out exactly what was wrong, with maybe, maybe a chance of having him two more weeks. But we didn't want to put him through all that...and having him two more weeks would have just been selfish on our part. So we made the decision to let him go. It was the hardest decision we ever had to make.

He was such a good friend: he taught me more about dogs, people and myself, more than I ever expected of a 50 pound furrball. I am honored to have had him, know him, and love him.

Zachie, if you can hear me, I hope you have finally caught that bunny. Have fun on the other side. You can do anything you want, eat anything you want, chase anything you want, smell things as long as you want. I've heard that there are others there already waiting to meet you. Think of it as a long vacation at doggie daycare, and I promise that some day we'll meet you there.

Wowzers!
