A Day In the Life of a Dog
Backyard LoveMarch 28th 2005 1:03 pm[ Leave A Comment ] I think I am in love! Since we moved to a new house I met this handsome dog named Pooja. He is a lot bigger than me - but really hairy and handsome! He is a Golden Retriever. We first met when he stuck his nose under the fence. We knew it was love from the beginning. I so desperately wanted to go over to his side and play. But that darn fence was getting in the middle of things! =) After a week of touching noses under the fence, my Pooja helped me get under the fence. He dug a big hole with his big doggy paws so that I could fit under. Finally!!! - I got under. We played and had a great time until my human mommy came looking for me. She was not happy when she discovered what Pooja and I had done. She came over and got me and covered up the hole, but a few days later we dug a new hole. After getting in trouble again - my mommy lined the whole side of the fence with bricks!!! I was so sad until she told me that she would still take me over to play with Pooja. The days everyone is at work we just sit by the fence and sniff eachother longing to play again.......
Freedom!September 10th 2004 4:47 pm[ Leave A Comment ] While my mommy and daddy are at work I stay in the kitchen in my "play pen". Chewing on my pig ear and playing with my toys gets boring! I try to push the metal play pen over everyday, but it's just too heavy.....until one day I figured out how to climb it. Yep little ol' me! I fell a few times, but after many failed attempts to get out, I was free! I was pretty proud of myself. When mom and dad came home I waited in the livingroom so they could see how smart I was after escaping, but they walked right past me. They thought I was in my play pen still. Boy did I trick them! When they finally spotted me they asked me how I got out. I told them I climbed because I am such a smart girl. They continued to ask me how I got out and I kept telling them how. It was as if they couldn't understand my telepathic messages! I kept looking them right in the eye......boy, humans need a lot of training!
