We accidentally found a great playtime event for Lu in the neighborhood. Some guys and their dogs meet at the neighborhood school to run and play off leash. It is like having a dog park that is the same dogs every day. Fun!

Pet-Peeves:
She outgrew her extreme carsickness but still dislikes getting back in and riding in the car after going someplace.

Favorite Toy:
rawhide chews, sticks, Frisbees (though they don't last long).

Favorite Food:
Bacon.

Favorite Walk:
In our neighborhood down to the doggie play date at the school.

Sit, lay down, speak.

Arrival Story:
Sadly our family had lost our sweet dog Butch. We waited a while to get another dog in the family. People kept telling us about dogs people were looking to find homes for but we weren't ready. When we started feeling up to it, we visited the Humane society. There was a large litter of Lab/Rott pups. Half had just been fixed and the other half was due to be altered the next day. We knew going in that we were looking for a female. Just hoping that would mean a more docile relaxed personality. We visited with a pup named Mable that was a brindle coated cutie. She had just been fixed so it was hard for the kids to get a sense of her personality. They wanted to meet with Lulu next. She was not fixed yet, so she wasn't available to adopt that day. She was so cute, so black she looked blue. The oldest boy wanted to wait and get Lulu the next day. The youngest was pushing to take mable home now. We decided to go home and decide the next day when both were adoptable and we could visit them again. Lulu was so doped up when we returned. Both boys at that point were pushing me to choose Lulu. So Lulu came home with us that day. She is the perfect dog for our family. Low energy but Loves her walks and to be home with her family.
