My Birthday, What a Special Day!

Wow! Thank you to my Dogster pals for all of the nice gifts, you all are such terrific friends! I can't believe today was my 1st birthday. I can still remember the very first day I came home. What a wonderful year it's been. My family is the best, I really love my doggie siblings Molly and Dozer. Dozer is the best Beagle brother ever and Molly is the sweetest older sis anyone could ask for! My humans are pretty cool too. Today was so special. My human brother Ryan got to pick something from home to share with his class for a special end of the year celebration, and guess what? He chose to bring the Beagle Brothers to school for a little while this afternoon! Our Mom and Dad brought us to the school. All of the kiddos got to come outside and sit in a circle around us. They all pet us and gave us hugs and asked Ryan all kinds of questions about us. When Ryan told them it was my first birthday, all of the kids sang Happy Birthday to me! It was really a special moment. Mom should have brought the camera, but she thought it would be to chaotic to even think about taking pictures. But you know, Dozer and I really behaved ourselves and were such gentlemen. So, then my humans went to the store and got me a few birthday presents too! What a great day! Happy Birthday to me, that's for sure! Hope all my Dogster pals are doing great.

Puppy Class!

BOL! I started puppy class on Tuesday. My Mom was not impressed with my skills. I'm just so excited all of the time, I could barely contain myself. I did kind of get the sit command but everything else at this point is up in the air! We worked on the come, sit, and down commands. My Mom has worked with me at home, and I am sitting alot better, but I just can't get the down command yet. I just get so excited for the treat that I can't focus on anything else. So, I'll keep you posted on my training progress. I'm excited to go to class again though, I'm meeting so many new friends!

Oh and my parents also Beagle proofed our backyard, they took most of my digging spots away by putting down big rock. I tell you what, I'm just going to find another place to dig!

My big surgery...

So, I went in for my big surgery today. I got neutered! I'm so tired this afternoon, I just want to sleep. I'm laying with my Daddy right now. Dozer wants to play with me, but I won't be able to for a few days, until my stitches heal up. My big Sis Molly also had to go to the vet today too for some X-rays, but she is okay, she has some bladder problems, but I'm really glad she won't have to have surgery. I also want to thank my friends for the Valentines rosettes, you guys are great!

Bees are so mean!

So, today was just horrible. This afternoon I was outside, by myself for a few minutes. My Mom was standing in the kitchen and suddenly hears me yelping and howling REALLY loud. She tells my sister Summer, something is wrong with Digger! They come running outside, Summer picks me up, and I'm crying LOUDER than I was before. My Mom looks at me, trying to figure out what is wrong. She was really trying not to panic, my Mom gets skeerd about things like this. She notices that my eye looks all wrong. My sister takes me and sits down with me to try and calm me down. The area around my eye just kept getting bigger and bigger! My Mom calls my Dad and tells him we're taking Digger to the vet, something is wrong with his eye. Luckily the vet is about 1 minute or less from our house. My Mom, sister, brother, and I get in the car. The vet wasn't busy, they were able to get me right in. He examined me very carefully and told my Mom a bee had stung me right next to my eye. By the time we got to the vet, my eye was completely swollen shut, it was really scary. So, the vet gave me 2 shots, one to help with the swelling, the other for pain, I yelped so loud when I got the shots, my brother was plugging his ears. I was also prescribed some meds to help with the swelling. Well, my eye is MUCH better tonight, the swelling is almost gone, but I don't quite feel as good as I should. I must remember to stay away from bees when I'm in the backyard next time. My Mom will post some pics of me with my swollen eye, but it was taken after I got the shots, so it's not as bad as it really was. Talk to you later. Digger

Puppy shots today!

So, I just got back from the vet, had to get my 2nd round of puppy shots. Boy, did I ever yelp from the shot today! My human brother Ryan was there with my Mom to help out though, and he held me, what a great kid! So anyway, last week I had to go into the vet to get my ears checked and had a really bad infection in my left ear, well today it was almost all cleared up, yay! I guess that Beagleys can get ear infections pretty easy, but my older brother Dozer hasn't had one yet, what a lucky guy!
Anyway, so when I got back from the vet, Dozer was so excited to see me, that we went out into the backyard and dug some holes! My Mom wasn't too happy about that, she wanted to get a picture of us digging the holes, but she was too late! She did snap some cute pics though, but not of us digging, that are going to go on our pages! Wow, you should see the holes though, quite impressive. Mom is thinking that her yard is never going to be the same again! So, now I'm going to take a nap, my puppy shots made me really tired. Bye!

So, I've been with my new family for almost a week now. It's been a great week! Everything is so new. I love my big sis Molly, sometimes I forget and think she's my mommy. My big bro Dozer is a silly guy, he is actually my Uncle Dozer. Don't tell him, but I think he is a little jealous of me, once he realizes that our human Mom and Dad love him just as much, he will calm down. My human sister and brother are cool too! They like playing with me. Anyway, that's it, I like it here a lot. I like this Dogster thing too, it's pretty neat!
