My pup pal Lily (582182) Tagged me BOL!!! I’m so excited, I haven’t been Tagged for ages! Here goes nothing:

You have to tell 7 things about yourself, and then tag 7 pals so they can tell 7 things about themselves! Ready, set, go...

1. I can climb a 6 foot fence all by myself!
2. I believe that every walk is a secret race between me and my bother Rocky that I ALWAYS have to win! Hehe.
3. I am a very fast learner, it only took me 2 days to learn from Rocky to bark my head off… Sorry mom but it’s fun!
4. I like to pretend that I’m an only child and hog all of my mom’s attention.
5. I don’t like treats that you have to chew like bully sticks unless Rocky chews on them a little bit first. I need to make sure that they aren’t poison.
6. Sometimes when I get to excited I’ll have a little asthma attack.
7. I love to give kisses, but sometimes I get a little carried away and will nip my mom on her nose.

Okay, that's enough about me. Time to find out about my pals -

Patches (575607)
Penny – My Angel 1987-2005 (595288)
Dee Dee (78898)
Paco (387045)
Lola (487038)
Huey (928773)
Burkett’s Cookies ‘n’ Crème TA (517115)

Have fun, pals!

Mom's Myspace Plea!

This is Not a chain letter... This is Not a joke... This is something that is a serious problem here in the US and around the world! This is MY, DANIELLE'S PERSONAL plea... To anyone who loves dogs! Please help us stop Puppy Mills and show your support by taking a few minutes out of your life to check out this website and watching the videos. There are thousands of dogs out there that depend on our support and education on what is going on today!

www.stoppuppymills.org

Instead of "purchasing" an animal "opt to adopt"!!! We can all make a difference, if we try...PLEASE spread this message on to as many people that you can. Education and Awareness is the key to stopping these in-humane practices! Until we all stand up united together, these things will continue to happen and will continue to break my heart and the hearts of the many out there that care. I can only by myself do so much, but with your support we can make real changes happen!

I know you will all do the right thing... PLEASE Don't let this bulletin start & stop here...

Thank you!

Danielle, Chiquita, Oscar & Rocky Allman

Remember..."Until there are none, Adopt one!". You can always make a difference even if it's just in one life! Because to the world you might just be one, but to one you can mean the world.

Mom went Orange BOL!!!

I'm so proud of my mom! She went ORANGE today for me and my brother Rocky! She wore her bright orange Rogz t-shirt all day at work and on our afternoon walk! I was so excited when people were honking and telling me and Rocky that we had such a cool mom for showing her support! Mom had no idea that so many people would know why she was wearing a bright orange shirt (orange isn't her color but she loves us!). There were a few people that were walking that stopped us to ask mom why people were making such a fuss... when she told them they thought that is was such a neat thing to do.

We had so much fun, I hope we can all do something like this again soon BOL!!!

I'm a Star!!!

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! When mom came home form work yesterday there was a surprise waiting for us in the mail box. It was a newsletter/magazine called "Pawprint". It's produced by the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA, that's where my mom adopted me from you know. Well they featured my picture and some letter's that my mom had written to them. Mom was so proud that she scooped me up and off the store we went to get me something special to celebrate. Guess what I got…I got a new jacket! It's a black and gold with Playboy embroidered on it. I was always jealous of Chiquita’s hot pick one, but now I have my every own. Mom said it's too bad Chiquita isn't here to wear hers to so we could match! I'm sure she is looking down from the rainbow bridge and is just as excited as mom and I are. I'll have to ask mom to take a picture of me in it for you all to see BOL.

Well without further ado here is the article that has made me star (or at least that’s what my mommy keeps saying):

PAWPRINT - Fall 07

– The best part of our day…
…often involves a correspondence
with an adopter. Of course, photos
of animals in their new homes are
always a hit. Months ago, we heard
from Danielle A., of Sacramento,
who found her new love at
PHS/SPCA. Shortly after adopting
Oscar, she contacted us. –

“Thank you for your great team.
You helped me find a friend
that would meet the needs of
Chiquita, my dog, and me. Oscar
is an awesome little guy!
I never imagined the challenge
of having two dogs, but
have enjoyed every moment. I’ve
been working with Oscar every
day and he has come a long way!
He’s still shy, but now accepting
other people with more ease. Just
yesterday on his nightly walk,
he allowed strangers to pet him
without shying away or tucking
his tail. I was so proud of him…
Chiquita is now more comfortable
sharing her home with Oscar.
She lets him sleep in her bed
with her even though he has his
own. I will keep you all posted
as much as I can as to how Oscar,
Chiquita and I are doing.”

- Two weeks later, we received sad news.
Chiquita, Danielle’s older dog,,
had passed away. –

“No words can describe how
devastated I am. I had the
privilege of knowing her for 7 ½
years… Oscar is already missing
her as much as I am. It breaks my
heart to watch him run around
the house crying, looking for her.
Hopefully, together we can help
each other get through this…
I’m just going to take it day by
day until it gets easier. Thanks
for everything.”

- And, this past week, we heard from
our friend Danielle once again.-

“Oscar and I are doing great…Just
a few days ago he found out how
exciting it is to stick his head
out the window when we are
driving…Last week he had his
first trip to the vet for a check up
and heartworm test. He seemed
to be the star of the office. All of
the ladies loved him.”

- We often think about how much
adopters give the animals they’ve
adopted: a new home, their love,
attention and patience. We are
also touched, knowing how much
animals give to their new adopters.
We can only think Oscar came into
Danielle’s life at the right time. -

Rain, rain go away!

I really want it to stop raining outside so I can go for a walk! Mom told me that the TV said it's supposed to rain on and off till Saturday night. It's so unfair!!!

So mom said that because I kept insisting on going outside for a walk, that we could go really fast in between showers. To my horror when I stepped outside, the ground was cold and all wet... Well there is no way I'm walking on that! You have got to be crazy...BOL. My mom laughed at me and explained that there is this thing called Winter! She said that in winter it rains all the time and gets really cold. I don't know what I'm going to do... no walks or doggie park. I think my life is going to be over!!!

The great escape!

Did you know that a 7.5lb, 1ft tall dog could jump 2 yes I said 2... 6ft fences in less than 30 seconds? Well guess what, I can! Wasn't my mom shocked to see me sitting on the front porch waiting for her when she was leaving one morning to go to work. Not to mention I had to do 3 more times cause she just couldn’t figure out what I was doing and how I was doing it so fast. That will show her! The only problem is now I’m not allowed to go in the back yard “unsupervised”. Sheesh, I’m not a puppy anymore mom! I just wanna go to work with you, what’s so wrong with that? It must be fun if you’re going everyday!

So I guess now while she is at work I’ll have to plan all of my other ways of escaping from where I’m supposed to stay while she is gone. If anyone has any suggestions just bark them my way, I could use all the help a pup can get!!!
