Favorite Toy: I don't really play with toys, but I love to play WrestleMania with my brothers.

Arrival Story: I'm the middle child! I was rescued by my mommy one day in October 2003. I had been living at the Vet for over two months and was in dire need of a big fluffy bed. I had lost almost 1/3 of my body weight and needed a family to love and care for me.
Dena, from the Southern California Dachshund Rescue, had gotten a call that I had been surrendered and needed to find a home. Since I am a blue dachshund, Dena immediately thought about asking my mom to foster me until they could find me a permanent home. Because my mom already had one blue dachshund, she was the only person Dena could think of who would know how to care for me. My mom agreed and came to pick me up. Mommy could tell that I was so scared, so for the next few days, she held me close and gave me lots of love and kisses. It didn't take long for mommy and daddy to tell Dena that they wanted to keep and that this would be my new permanent home (I knew it all the long). So, the adoption papers were signed and I finally had a family to love me. Daddy says I won the food and love lottery that day and I agree!! Now I spend each day following closely behind my mommy, wherever she goes. Hey, I bet that's why she calls me Shadow!
