Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: August 11th 1996
Likes: Her family, especially Summer and Ryan (her human children), taking naps, laying in the sun, chewies, sleeping on the bed with Mom

Pet-Peeves: people on bikes, when the mailtruck drives by, her little Beagle brothers Dozer and Digger (although deep down she really loves them!)

Favorite Toy: Stuffed animals are her very favorite!

Favorite Food: Currently she is on a Prescription C/D diet and she doesn't like it but before her diet...anything and everything she can get her mouth on, we feed her Iams but she has been known to eat muffins, starfish, etc etc, but not because we let her!

Favorite Walk: She loves to walk around the neighborhood

Best Tricks: eating, sleeping, being super friendly...

Arrival Story: We got Molly when she was 8 weeks old. She has been the best dog a family could ask for. We really wanted a lab because they are such nice, gentle dogs with children. When we went to pick her out, there were several little yellow lab pups available, they were all so precious. Our daughter Summer was a little over a year old at the time and we wanted a puppy that responded well to her, so we put Summer in the pen with the pups and let her walk around and pet them to see which one responded to her the best. One of the pups in particular, a chubby little female, the largest one in the litter, kept following Summer around as she was petting all of the puppies. The little pup was relentless, she really wanted our daughter's attention! Needless to say, that's the pup that we picked out. I wish I would have had a camera with us at the time, what a precious memory! Molly and Summer have been best friends ever since! When our son Ryan was born, Molly became his best friend too! She likes to think of them as her own kids. We will ask her where her babies are and she will go to their rooms and look for them. Molly is getting up there in years and her hips will bother her sometimes and she gets tired, but she still acts like she is a young pup, especially when she is playing with her "kids" in the backyard. Love you lots Molly!

It is with much sadness and a completely empty feeling that I'm having to tell everyone that Molly passed today. I can't believe that I'm even writing this. She had been having bladder issues for months, since February, has had numerous medications and x-rays and was put on a special diet. She was having trouble urinating. It seemed as though, especially in the last month or so, that she was improving and feeling so much better. She was more energetic and sleeping through the night without getting up to go pee. Last night she took a turn for the worse. She couldn't pee and could barely stand up. I stayed up with her all night to see if she improved and this morning took her to the vet first thing. They did an x-ray and tried to release the pressure on her bladder, but the x-ray showed a large mass on her bladder. Thet vet told me to take her to a vet up north in Tacoma for an ultrasound. I called her dad at work, he came home and took her up for further testing. I stayed home with our children, this was very hard for them to go through. Mike called this afternoon and said that they had to put her down, that was the hardest call he has ever made, Molly was his special girl. The bladder tumor was unoperable and so big and was making her entire body shut down. This is so hard to type, but I'm so grateful that I have this to turn to. There have been so many tears at our house today. Molly brought so much happiness and love to our home for the past 12 years, everyone who ever met her fell in love with her. She will be forever missed, never forgotten, and always loved. Molly was the best dog anyone could ever ask for, I love you my sweet baby girl.
