I just want to say thank you so much to everyone for their support and kind words for Molly. She is truly loved. Thank you for the stars, diamonds, rosettes, and special gifts. It really means a lot to our family to know we have such caring friends here at Dogster.
It is with much sadness and a completely empty feeling that I'm having to tell everyone that Molly passed today. I can't believe that I'm even writing this. She had been having bladder issues for months, since February, has had numerous medications and x-rays and was put on a special diet. She was having trouble urinating. It seemed as though, especially in the last month or so, that she was improving and feeling so much better. She was more energetic and sleeping through the night without getting up to go pee. Last night she took a turn for the worse. She couldn't pee and could barely stand up. I stayed up with her all night to see if she improved and this morning took her to the vet first thing. They did an x-ray and tried to release the pressure on her bladder, but the x-ray showed a large mass on her bladder. Thet vet told me to take her to a vet up north in Tacoma for an ultrasound. I called her dad at work, he came home and took her up for further testing. I stayed home with our children, this was very hard for them to go through. Mike called this afternoon and said that they had to put her down, that was the hardest call he has ever made, Molly was his special girl. The bladder tumor was unoperable and so big and was making her entire body shut down. This is so hard to type, but I'm so grateful that I have this to turn to. There have been so many tears at our house today. Molly brought so much happiness and love to our home for the past 12 years, everyone who ever met her fell in love with her. She will be forever missed, never forgotten, and always loved. Molly was the best dog anyone could ever ask for, I love you my sweet baby girl.
I want to say Thank You to everyone for your nice birthday wishes and gifts! You are all such wonderful friends and I really appreciate your kindness. Lots of Love, XOXO Molly
