Surgery is for the birds!

On Thursday, Mommy took me to that place she calls the vet. I liked going to this place because there are so many people there who pet me :)

Well Thursday mommy left me there, hmpff I was really mad and I didn't know what was going on. Mommy just said I was there to get the boo boo (hygroma) on my elbow off. Well I stayed in a crate at the vet place for a while
and then they brought me to this funny room. Next thing I knew I woke up with my fur shaved off and a big bandage on my leg! I WAS NOT a happy boy. sigh...

They gave me some medicine to make me sleepy, but I still missed my mommy and wondered when she was coming to get me?!?! Oh yeah and they put this stupid cone thing on my neck! Boy is that thing annoying!! Well the next day I felt better, but I still had to stay at the vets and I was begining to think mommy would never come and get me and I was getting depressed. All of a sudden, Dr. Torres came to get me and we walked down the hall to a room..guess who was there?!?!?!?!? It was mommy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so happy I started to cry and grumble and oops I peed on mommy too, but she wasn't mad..she was very happy to see me!!!!!!!!

She took that stupid cone thing off my head and we went to the car!! Yippee I love riding in the car and I knew I was going home!!!!!!!!! When we got home daddy was there too. He gave me lots of hugs and pets!

Well although I'm happy to be home, I can't run or jump or play and I really really really want to! My boo boo doesn't bother me too much, but mommy says I have to stay in my crate! PHOOEY!!! Sometimes I cry and cry in my crate so mommy will let me out, but it doesn't work! Even when I do get to come out, for some reason I always have my leash on and get this...we don't even go on walks!!!!!!!!!! THIS STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope I get better soon...I'm going crazy here!!!!

Off Leash..Yipee!!

Today I went hiking with mommy and daddy up in the Watchung Mountains. Some people told mommy that they enjoy hiking up there with their dogs off leash. Mommy was worried about trying that because I am still kinda young..and well....she's over protective!

The trails are usually very empty and you may see one person if you are lucky. So today, mommy told daddy to walk a littlle ahead of us so she can let me off leash and I can run to him. I was VERY EXCITED! I ran right to daddy, then back to mommy than back to daddy then...you get the picture. Mommy told me to sit and she put the leash back on me. I was VERY DISSAPOINTED! So we walked on a little more and mommy did the same thing.

Except this time she said to daddy, let's leave him off leash and see what he does! I was so excited, but I had to keep my composure. I didn't want to mess this up ya' know!! So, I stayed very close to mommy and daddy. Ocasionally I romped off the path, but came right back. Mommy was so happy with me!!

Her and daddy tried to trick me too. Can you believe them?!?! I was ahead of them on the trail and they stopped behind me to see what I would do. Well once I realized they weren't behind (which didn't take long), I turned around and ran to them! You should have seen mommies face. She was SO PROUD!! :)
Then They REALLY tried to trick me, but I'm too clever...I had to be VERY good because I was having soooo much fun off leash! I was quite aways ahead of them on the trail and I was very interested in something that was making noise in the brush. Well, mommy and daddy stopped and then hid behind two trees! BOL....did they really think they could fool me?!? Silly humans! Well, I turned around and ran back up the trail..first I found daddy and then I found mommy. Mommy was grinning from ear to ear..Am I good or what?
Well I had such a great time!!!! When we got in the car, mommy said to daddy, "We should come again tommorow."

HIP HIP HOOOOORRRAAAAY!! I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!

A little Sister?!?!?

Well, my mommy has been talking to daddy a lot saying something about, "Jett having a little sister." Daddy kept telling mommy that she would have to wait until I was older so I felt pretty good that this "little sister" wouldn't be here for awhile. Mommy and daddy were talking about different names for this, "little sister." Then they decided to name her Rain. What kind of name is that anyway?!?!? HMPH

Last night I heard mommy telling daddy that she was writing somethin on that funny gadget to my grandma Patsy (I kinda remember her from when I was a little baby). She said she was letting her know they they wanted to bring home this Rain in January or February....Am I in trouble or what?!?!?!?!?
