My Tail of Devotion for Sir Frankie

Little Sir Frankie you are a sweet and loving Chihuahua I just can not image anyone not wanting you I just love you so much. Your old momma said you were coming for a "play date" with my Nickolas. She never came back for you and moved away. You were very underweight and frightened of everything. Even when a feather fell off Henry the canary you would only run and hide in your kennel. You hardly had any hair and ate nothing at all. No toys, treats, blankets,for such a tiny darling you were treated so harshly.

Well we changed that immediately! boiled chicken breast and wild rice became your favorite meal. I think you were surprised that it was for you and you ate it like a tiger, BOL. That was a happy day!!! It was about three months before we could convince you that you were here to stay and we were not going to let you go.

When you were first here at our home I know how scared and homesick you must have been. It was a really hard adjustment for you. I am glad though we were able to get to know each other and you were able to understand that we just wanted for YOU my sweet little friend to have a happy and loving home for all your life. This was your furever home!

We were happy when you finally figured out it was okay to trust us and our couch was not only soft and warm but the safest place where now you find yourself all the time. Thank heavens too that now running to bed is something you find joyful and not scary. I love to watch you prance and dance and see your beautiful eyes light up with happiness. Your soft kisses mean the world to me, momma MaryEllen.

I love you little Sir Frankie and I am so glad you came into our life because you brought more Joy and fun with you to play with Nickolas. It is enjoyable to watch you both play like brothers it just warms my heart and soul. Momma loves you thank you for sharing your life with me.

Thank you.
Love Momma MaryEllen

"Ring out, wild bells" from In Memoriam

by Lord Alfred Tennyson

Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light:
The year is dying in the night;
Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.

Ring out the grief that saps the mind
For those that here we see no more;
Ring out the feud of rich and poor,
Ring in redress to all mankind.

Ring out a slowly dying cause,
And ancient forms of party strife;
Ring in the nobler modes of life,
With sweeter manners, purer laws.

Ring out the want, the care, the sin,
The faithless coldness of the times;
Ring out, ring out my mournful rhymes
But ring the fuller minstrel in.

Ring out false pride in place and blood,
The civic slander and the spite;
Ring in the love of truth and right,
Ring in the common love of good.

Ring out old shapes of foul disease;
Ring out the narrowing lust of gold;
Ring out the thousand wars of old,
Ring in the thousand years of peace.

Ring in the valiant man and free,
The larger heart, the kindlier hand;
Ring out the darkness of the land,
Ring in the Christ that is to be.

What Christmas Means To Me

Christmas means a joyful time of year. It makes me think of giving. There is so

much joy going on. Christmas is all about Jesus. You know it’s easier to celebrate

Christmas if you know Jesus. Jesus' birth was on Christmas. That’s how it got it’s

name. The first word spells Christ. This reminds me of a story about when Mary

had baby Jesus in a manger in Bethlehem. Christmas is the most joyful time of year;

knowing that Jesus was born on that day.

Holy Smokes UnderDOG I received Dog Diary of the- Day!!!

Can you believe that I woke up and well of course rushed to check my Dogsters very first thing before anything, I won DOG DIARY OF THE DAY!!! My brother was happy for me and I was jumping for joy mommy was giving me lots of hugs and kisses. I was licking and so was Nickolas. Mommy says our tongues are so long that they can touch the back of her brain....? Can that really happen? hmmmm I wonder.

Well I am having a good time here on Dogster I love it I am looking around and spending time reading and learning by seeing what others are doing. Hopefully that will help me help my mommy learn this computer stuff. We started using just our regular old Paint program and editing our own pictures. We are terrible right now but with all this practise maybe one day either me or my brother Nickolas will win one of those cool prises that we see lots of dogs have. Me I am going to keep writing in my diary.

When it comes to judging there needs to be absolut beginer level, intermediate level, and then maybe almost expert, then been here so long they know it all that they need to be helping all the entry level dogs. THAT LEARNING CURVE WILL KILL YA. Makes ya really loose a lot of sleep...

Cause I really love it here on Dogster and I also have my cat friends on Catster too!

You Know You're A Dog Person If...

You Know You're A Dog Person If...

You have a kiddie wading pool in the yard but no small children

Lint wheels are on your shopping list every week.

Your freezer contains more dog bones than anything.

You hang around the dog section of your local bookstore way too often.

Your non-dog friends won't eat food prepared in your kitchen.

Your parents refer to your pet as their "grand-dog."

You have baby gates permanently installed at strategic places around the house but no babies.

You open your purse and that big bunch of baggies you use for pick-up pops out .

You skip breakfast so you can walk your dog in the morning before work.

The trash basket is more or less permanently installed in the kitchen sink, to keep the dog out of it while you're at work.

You can't see out the passenger side of the windshield because there are dog nose prints all over the inside.

You don't go to happy hours with co-workers anymore because you need to go home and walk your dog.

You don't think it's the least bit strange to stand in the back yard chirping "Molly, Pee!" over and over at your dog who tends to play and forget what she's our there for.

You go to the pet supply store every Saturday because it's one of the very few places that lets you bring your dog inside, and the dog loves to go with you.

You get an extra long hose on your shower massage just so you can use it to wash the dog in the tub, without making the dog sit hip deep in water.

You and the dog come down with something flu like on the same day. The dog sees the vet while you settle for an over the counter remedy from the drug store.

You not only have dog toys strewn about, but your guests also have to be careful not to trip on the dog jumps. (well we gotta exercise them in the winter somehow)

Your weekend activities are planned around taking your dog for a hike.

You refer to yourself as "mommy" and "daddy".

Your dog sleeps with you.

You'd rather stay home on Saturday night and cuddle your doggies than go to the movies with your sweetie.

You keep an extra water dish in your second-floor bedroom, in case your dog gets thirsty at night.

You avoid vacuuming the house as long as possible because the dogs are afraid of the brain-sucker.

When your dog is getting old and arthritic, and you go buy lumber and build it a small staircase so it can climb onto the bed by itself.

You shovel a zig-zag path in the back yard snow so your dog can reach all of his favorite places.

Your have 32 different names for your dogs. Most make no sense but they understand.

Your dog eats cat poop but you still let him/her kiss you (but not immediately after, of course)

You never completely finish a piece of steak or chicken so the dog gets some too.

Poop has become a source of conversation for you and your significant other.

You are the only idiot walking in the pouring rain because your dog needs his walk.

You send birthday, anniversary and Christmas cards from your dog.

You like people who like your dogs. You despise people who don't.

You lecture people on responsible dog ownership every chance you get.

You keep eating even though you find a dog hair in your pasta.

You carry dog biscuits in your pockets all the time.

You make popcorn just so you can play catch with your dog.

You talk about your dogs like other people talk about their kids.

You have your dog pictures on your office desk. (but no one else's).

Your license plate or license plate frame mentions your dogs.

You match your furniture, carpet and clothes to your dog.

Pawsome Pages ( should be called awesome pals pages!!!!)

My mummy has been a bit unraveled here in the last coupled of days thinking that she was no good and all.... and me and Nickolas have been doing our best to keep her away from the 'puter. We did't want her to have a seizure. Well Nickolas was great he was able to make her stop.

Nickolas sat next to her and started to nudge her, then when she did not respond to that he would walk around and give his little bark WOOF!! Not to loud but enough to make her stop and ask him to stop it, what are you doing, what do you want, go lay down.........he did it four times.

I was sitting watching hoping my brother could do this. All of a sudden mommie realized oh oh Nickolas is barking I need to listen and put my puter away and get some rest now. We jumped up on mommies lap and cuddled up in the warm fussy blanket with her in bed and she finally went to sleep after being awak for three solid days and nights trying to figure out how to read this code stuff.

Thats why Pawsome pages is so great they have been more than helpful,and a special bark goes out to Lady, PJ, Spike, Inky Dinky Doodle, Goofball Mavredes the First, and all the other pup pals. we all love this place it is so cool.

Nickolas tells me to cut it out cause i always get to soft and mushey just like cats do and I told him whats wrong with that.....he just sigh......and grrrrrs under his breath a little.......we had a kittty and I loved him but Nickolas loved him also the cat was bigger than both of us put together . this is another story HA HA.

My Prayers Were an odd sort of way

My old human had to go somewhere and so I went over to my best friends Nickolas home to stay for a few days. Wow it was going to be a great sleep over time.

I am not sure what we will eat but I do not care I bet it will be CHICKEN!!!!!!
Oh and I bet it will be alright to sit on Nickolas' master's lap and snuggle in a fuzzy soft blankey that he has. Oh how happy, happy, happy I am. This is going to be a great adventure.

Well we had the time of our lives and it was great indeed but it did seem to be a very long time. I was not sure if my human was coing back or not. I was sort of worried that I would see them come to the door and my good times would be finished. I was worried, but the longer it got the more I forgot about it.

I could cuddle in soft warm blankets and we did have chicken and rice not just dry dog food. We had some things called veggies too she would make us fresh food to eat and feed us everyday just like one of the family. Yeah just like one of the family.
That's when I realized I had my very own dishes, bed and soft fluffy pillow, soft fuzzy blankets, my own sweaters, my own special spot to sit next to and even with my brand new human family. I guess I was home and my prayer was answered.
