Arrival Story: We had an American Eskimo a number of years ago and when it passed away, we did not replace it for about 5 years. 1 1/2 years ago we started to talk about getting another dog and wanted another American Eskimo and started looking for a breeder. It was hard to find one in Central Illinois but we did locate one and that is where we got Bailey.
Bio: We have had Bailey since she was 8 weeks old and she adds so much fun to our lives. She has so much personality. She has been to puppy and intermediate obedience classes and now she is in agility class. She goes to Doggy Day Care twice a week and to another one each week where she gets to play with other dogs.
It has been said that change is the only constant in life.
When I started on Dogster I was only 1 year old and now I am considered a senior dog. I still do my zoomies and play with my toys but I am getting older and my pawrents worry about me and my future health.
They are both older too. I have to worry about my dad's health and he can't do some of the things with me that we liked to do.
I lived in the same house since I was 8 weeks old and in February we moved and I had to get used to a new house and yard and neighborhood.
The grandkids who used to be little and come over and swim and play with me and bring their friends, have moved to Florida to go to college.
Dogster/Catster is closing and that is a place that mom and I made friends and had fun times. We shared stories and pictures with other pet lovers. We got to use our imagination and creativity and have fun with them. We supported and prayed and cried with them when there was a sickness or loss.
I have to remember that this is a segment of our life and we have to accept this change as we do other even bigger changes in our life. We find new ways and new routines and the changes become part of our life and we go on and do new things. We have our memories and we can look back and say we were lucky to have been a part of that.
Dogster has been much easier to get into lately. It also is working very quickly to get from one thing to another. So far, the posts still do not always show up immediately but this is a definite improvement. Thanks also for fixing our backgrounds. I have not tried to do anything yet with my pictures but at least the perpetual winter background is gone now. Thanks to all that are working hard to restore our Community. We appreciate your efforts.
Today I had no groups or pals. I would log in but still nobody knew me. Dogster offered me some cookies since they felt sorry for me, having no place to post and being friendless and all. Tonight my groups and pals were back! I was happy to see my favorite places and all my friends again. I hope everything is still there tomorrow.
