Likes: What I like to do most is simply just to be close to my family. . ..and I love to watch tv
Pet-Peeves: I hate it when the parents let Leo out to play with April and I'm stuck inside because I just got groomed. . .I love to get dirty!
Favorite Toy: Anything squeaky and BIG Playful Dogs. . ., I also love to just run around the yard and dig holes.
Favorite Food: If it were up to me I'd eat what the parents are having, but I'm fed Eukaneuba Small Breed Dry Formula. . .
Favorite Walk: I like my house and yard. Going outside scares me a bit, but I'm getting used to going to the parks now. There's just so many other dogs.
Best Tricks: I can talk. . .well in dog talk, but I think my parents understand because they do just as I ask. I'm hoping my parents show me some tricks so I can show off at the park.
Arrival Story: Around Christmas I went into a pet shop and for the 1st time in a long time saw how well the shop owner treated the pups and asked me a million and one questions about how I plan on caring for this pup. I did what I don't recommend. . .I just fell in love with the pup not knowing much about the breed and the requirements for grooming that will now be part of my routine for so long as this cutie is with me. Thankfully, the breeder turned out to be wonderful and caring for the pup as well as me. She let me adopt Precious after a looooong and hard interview and explained everything about the care that she'll require. I'm glad I found Precious and a reputable breeder. . .even if by accident.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
First of all, I'd like to say . . .I"M ALIVE! I feel like I almost died after Saturday.
Why u ask? Well, I got a bad allergic reaction to my rabies shot. My eyes were blown up and my whole face felt un real! My mom was so scared she even cried at the vets office.
I hope your Christmas was great and that you got all the doggy treats you could ever ever think of. As for me and my family we had a blast. Since Thanksgiving night I've been grabbing presents out of the tree and opening them without my mom's aproval. They just looked so tasty under that big tree. My mom finally got tired of picking them up that she put everything up high on a bookcase. So I didn't have anything else to grab. I made the most of it by sleeping under the tree hoping that dad would give in and put the presents back down here next to me. He secretly opened one of my presents and I played with it when mom wasn't around. Hehehehe. Still, one day my mom came in and caught us! It was the funniest thing! Oh well, dad was in trouble! Still, I got to keep my gift and I love it. . .it's a ball!!!!
I have not been doing good these past couple of days.
Last Tuesday was my dad's birdthday. My mom and human family made a little carne asada for dad. He was so happy. I was happy too. I think too happy because I was running around the yard like a little nut and got myself injured by a stick on the ground. Somehow it went into the top of my right paw. It hurt a lot, but I didn't want to ruin dad's birthday so I didn't say a thing. My mom noticed that I was bleeding and rushed me inside to clean me up. She was so good, but she thought it was a small cut under my paw. Specially since I didn't say much. So the next day mom and dad went to work. I tried to fix it myself, but made it worse. By the time my mom and dad came back my paw was swollen up like a ball. My mom and dad rushed me to the hospital and they had to operate. The stick went completely inside my paw and they had to surgically remove it. My mom was very upset when they told her I had to go down during the surgery. She worries way too much! At 4 am Thursday my mom had to go pick me up. Both mom and dad looked very tired and at the same time happy to see me. The doctor gave my parents instructions as to what to do to care for the injury and when to give me pain meds. Oh, and they put a darn lamp shade on me. When we got home Leo barked at me like crazy. He didn't know what I had around my head. I was sooooo sleepy I just ignored him. Well, it's saturday and I still have this lamp shade around me. I hate it, but when mom takes it off all I wanna do is lick my paw. . .cuz it itches. So here comes that shade again. Well, I'm hoping my paw heals quickly so I can play around again and not have this very ugly thing around my neck anymore. . .Leo says it looks awful. Well, goodnight all. Pray for me.
