The curse

The evil curse has moved from Mommy to me. I hoped this day would never come, but it has officially happened, I am cursed.
Maybe I should explain. Every time Mommy really likes a product you can be sure that it will be discontinued or “new & improved” which translates into a ruined product she does not like. It all started with the discontinuation of Hostess boysenberry pies when Mommy was little, then the new & improved carnation breakfast bars that ended up tasting more like moldy cardboard and continued well into her old age. The latest being the discontinuation of Dove leave in spray conditioner. Well now thanks to Mommy it has happened to me! Meijer had their brand of all natural dog biscuits. They were my all time favorites and I got one every evening as my “Night-night” treat. Mommy went to Meijer’s the other day and they re-did the dog treat section and the all natural dog biscuits were gone! There was not even a shelf tag for them. Mommy told me not to worry she would go to the pet store and get me my second favorite dog biscuits, Steak biscuits by Nutro Max. Nutro changed all their packaging…again, and PetSmart moved things around on the shelf’s…again! Mommy looked high and low and even in the middle but there was not a box of Nutro Steak biscuits to be found! What will happen next? Will McDonald’s stop making plain cheeseburgers? I have no idea how I will even find the strength to get off Daddy’s pillow this morning. Why me?

Wow! I am finally coming down from a tail wagging pawsome woof-day week. Monday is here and I am feeling a little sad that it is all over. I want to bark another big “Thank you!” to all my Dogster pals for helping me celebrate my 5th woof-day and Dogster for picking me as one of the Dogster Diaries of the Day. Another special “Thanks” goes out to Mr. Jack Freckles for the very pawsome picture he made me for being selected as one of the Dogster Diaries of the Day.
Now here comes the sadness. Daddy goes back to work and he is not only working his regular crazy long hours but he is also on call for the next two weeks. This means I won’t get much time with him and no “chase Me” games…the only good thing about Daddy being on call is that he sleeps in the guest room so when his stupid work calls in the middle of the night the phone ringing will not bother Mommy & me. What does this mean for me? I get to sleep the entire night on Daddy’s pillow without getting kicked off of it!

Dogster diary

Things just keep getting better & better for me. I turned 5 years old, got a cheeseburger, a new toy, tons of love & rosettes from my pals here at Dogster and then I find out I am one of the dogster diaries of the day. I feel like a princess. Mommy even added a couple of new pictures to my Dogster page.

Today is the day!

Today is my 5th Woof-day! Woo-Hoo!
Yesterday I had Daddy all to myself and he got me a cheeseburger and we got a bunch of snow so I had some major snow face. I love the snow, it gives me the zoomies but I can't go for a walk because our streets are icy and we do not have sidewalks. Mommy worries some moron will not see us in time and slid into us with their vehicle so she says I have to forget the walk. We went from 40 degree tempertures to 11! It is paw freezing cold out there!

Woo-Hoo! Daddy is staying home from work today! I get him all to myself! I am going to make Daddy give me a ton of treats because Mommy will not be here to tell him, "STOP IT!"
Gonna be a pawsome day!!!
We are supposed to get snow later today. I love snow!

Must be all the love and good wishes from my pals that is helping my boo-boo back feel better. Thank you! I got another walk yesterday but it was even better then the day before because Max my neighbor and my bestest doggie friend got to go with me. Max is the doggie that ran me over and caused me back trouble but Mommy & me don't blame him when it was his humans fault for letting him run loose.
I don't get along with most doggies but Max is my buddy.

Yesterday was a better day. I ate my breakfast & dinner, got to go for a long walk on the trails with my Mommy & played the “chase me” game with Daddy. (I also chased the cats but don’t tell Mommy because she doesn’t like me doing that)

Birthday week!

This is my Birthday week! I am going to be the big 5! My week started out with a cheeseburger and a long walk thru the trails on Monday, Tuesday I got me another walk, but I did not eat all day, Mommy thinks my back is hurting a little. I tend to not eat when my back is bothering me. Mommy promised me another walk today if I feel better.

Sant Paws informed me I am Naughty!

So I found out something fascinating last night. It turns out that I have been on Santa Paw’s Naughty List for 4 years. I try to be a good girl but I guess Santa Paws wants us pups to be obedient all year round. I am sorry but even the best of pups is gonna drift to the naughty side every now & then. Especially when Sweetie tries to eat my food or a squirrel comes in my yard or the mailman drives by...you get the picture. It is life that forces my naughtiness to happen and I should not be held responsible.
Last night a box arrived under my Christmas tree. It was from Santa Paws. The card said…Dear Sophie Bean, you have been on the naughty list for 4 years and I give up on you ever making it to the nice list. This year I decided to cut you a break a give you a present anyway, hopefully this will help you stay out of trouble. Enjoy, Merry Christmas, Santa Paws.
I was ready to tear the wrapping paper right off when Mommy walked in and said, “Don’t you dare!”, so I am now barking at Spitz to help me out by ripping off the wrapping paper from the present so I can see what I got. Does that make me naughtier???
Let's face it, I know Spitz is on the naughty list too so what difference does it make???
