Arrival Story:
We'd been looking for a dog for some time, and one day we decided to stop back by the rural shelter in Boone, Iowa, where we'd stopped the day before. There was Kelty (Dapple) sitting politely, looking up at me with that half a blue eye and a long, slow wag. We had to take her home! We thought she was in heat when we adopted her, but when she went under the knife to get spayed it turned out she was actually pregnant with what would have been 12 puppies! Yikes! We have also gathered that she's had some traumativ poo experiences, because she is mrtified of dog poo. And pooping. With much therapy and embarrasment, she is working through this issue, but meanwhile it's releiving to know that she'd rather implode than poop inappropriately.

Bio:
We believe Kelty is actually a rare Iowa Corn Dingo. She is a sweetheart. She fits right into our family, she is just an all around awesome dog, even though she's a huge dork.
