Arrival Story: I have always been a big dog lover until I adopted my beloved little Ali.
I saw a dog on the news one day, and decided the time was right for me to adopt a new best friend. I went to the foster persons home to look at the dog I had seen on TV, and this other dog was SOOOOO NOT the dog for me. But as I was talking to the foster person about their group (www.hope4animals.org) this little scrawny blue eyed angel came up to me and started licking my hand, and loving me. Well of course I needed to know if she was for adoption?
About an hour later she was in my car, and off to her new home. Ali was rescued from TJ,Mexico right before she was to be put down by electrocution (that is the way they used to euthanize animals before UHfA). This little girl had a rough life prior to being in her home here in Sunset Cliffs, San Diego. Now it is a soft comfy bed, and lots of love and cookies. Rescue animals are the most amazing animals.
Since that day in June of 2004 I have become very active with United Hope for Animals, only because I feel I have a great debt to pay back for the little white, blue eyed angel I have here.
PLEASE get involved with rescue work! It brings such joy to your life to know you are helping make a difference in this world!
