Tomorrow is the big day, and I'm going to tell you what kind of puppy my parents will be bringing home and his name!

The puppy is a first generation Standard Goldendoodle. His father is an English Cream Golden Retriever and his mother is a white Standard Poodle. We expect his coat to be more wavy than curly. So you see, you would have had a hard time guessing correctly since he's a mixed breed.

I had written that he doesn’t look like any kind of dog my parents have had before, and that's true. I also commented that he was closest in color to my Westie pals but I didn't say he was white! That's because the puppies are very light cream in color with black noses and my parents won't know which one they'll pick until tomorrow. They do have pictures of the puppies at two weeks, four weeks, and six weeks. They're almost eight weeks old now.

The hints as to what kind of puppy have been on my page all along. Don't ask me why, but my parents called me Doodle or Doodie alot and those nicknames have been on my page. And, have you noticed the title of my diary? They didn't even think about that until after they made a decision on what kind of puppy.

Now to his name. It took my parents awhile to agree on a name until finally one night, out of nowhere, Mom blurted out...

Huey!

Yes, as in Baby Huey or Huey Lewis and the News! Dad liked it right away. There's more to the story about his name but I'm going to let Huey tell you the rest of it. I'm sure he'll want to tell you all about his first day home too!

I decided to reveal all of this to you today because my parents are #3 on the list to pick a male puppy tomorrow, which they are happy about as that got them an early appointment at 10:00am Pacific Time, but they have to drive about two hours one-way. They think they'll be back home between 1:00-2:00pm Pacific Time, and after getting Huey settled, Mom wants to take pictures of him so she can add his page tomorrow....promise!

Huey's pen got set up today and my parents are packed for the road trip. They're bringing my giraffe toy for him to play with in the car, too.

I would have had a great time playing with Huey, but I guess we'll just have to hang out with each other here.

Kitty Mercy's friends have also been trying to guess what kind of dog will be joining the family, so she also has to write a diary entry.

This is so exciting Quincy! I can hardly wait to meet Huey! I wonder how long it will take him to realize what a great family he has found. My guess is that he will know what a lucky boy he is in less than five minutes!

We're so excited! I bet it was driving your pawrents up the wall not telling everyone all the details about the new forthcoming baby boy! We've all been waiting on the edge of our seats with anticipation! We know he'll be spoiled with love before he makes it home! Like Pills says above--YAY, puppy pictures and OF COURSE puppy breath! :o)

We are so excited and can't wait to see Huey's new page with all his pics.

I know your pawrents think they are going to pick him... But we really know who is going to pick who...:O) We also know who will have their say so! :O)

A family member of ours has a Golden doodle...He is also cream color.. He has curly poodle hair too.. He is so cute.. I mean.. He's a cool dude.. :O) Although I have never met him!! Mom says he's cute...

Thanks for telling us about Huey... We are also really happy you chose to send your Mom and Dad a new puppy!!

Well, back when I first announced the puppy, it was still about a month away before they would be ready to go to their new homes, so I didn't want to tell!

Huey is a larger first generation Dood, so we expect his coat to be more wavy but we'll have to see.

They'll be sure to take pictures at the breeders house!

We are soooooo excited and just cant wait! Thanks Quincy for telling us all about him and his name. Mom had started to think he was some kind of retriever and I guess she was kind of right after you said he had some of my color in him!BOL
We will keep checking the computer all day to see if he shows up!
