I’ve been tagged by my good pal Dutch! If you have been tagged by me this is what you have to do. We have to answer 4 questions in our diary and tag 4 friends.
Here goes...
Name 4 jobs that you have:
1. My current job is to make sure no kitties stay in my neighborhood.
2. I am the watcher of Daddy. I make sure he stays in line, I answer only to Mommy!
3. I used to be the official Canadian de-stuffer of toys but have since move on to other gainful employment.
4. I am the resident Diva of my block. Its a title that is very dear to my heart.
Name 4 places where you have lived (or stayed at):
1. I was born in Vineland Ontario
2. I have lived the rest of my life with Mommy in St.Catharines Ontario, in the Niagara Region. Souther Ontario. Canada
3. I am not a very good long distance traveler. I have been to Mom' s Mom's house 1 time about 45 min away. That was fun I suppose.
4. I like going to Grandpa's house. He has a fun yard that has loads of good smells.
Name 4 places that you have been:
1. Montabello park
2. Niagara shores conservation area
3. The Welland Canal Path way.
4. Hamilton Ontario...not that exciting..
Name 4 places you'd rather be:
1. In the snow making snow angels
2. Sleeping on Mommy's bed
3. Eating more food or perhaps some fishy fudge
4. Did I mention that I would really like to be in some snow?

I just wanted to post that our GSD family and dogster family has lost a member. Ekko Bleu Vomspeerhaus. http://www.dogster.com/dogs/597827.
Ekko was taken from her family far to soon. Her Mom and family will miss her dearly. All of us in the GSD forum will miss her too.
We miss you Ekko, be free puddin pup!
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet
goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water
and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy
and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special
to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body
quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green
grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy
kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and
you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from
your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

If you don't know me, then know one thing. I love snow!
Mom and I go for walks everyday, but winter is special. Lately, I have started rolling in the snow. I am making GSD snow angels! Mom gets a bit embarrassed when I do it because it’s on really busy streets, and people in cars point and laugh at me. Well I say GOOD! I am a Diva, and I like attention. I don’t care who is watching, I like how the snow feels in my fur and on my belly. Try it some time. I am 9 years old. I deserve to do what I want, when I want, and where ever I want. And I don’t care what they think!!
P.S.
Pictures coming soon!

From Rosie!
Our tribute to all BOY dogs!!
"Walking In A Doggie Wonderland"
(sung to the tune of Winter Wonderland)
Dog tags ring, are you listening?
In the lane, snow is glistening.
It's yellow, NOT white - I've been there tonight,
Marking up my winter wonderland.
Smell that tree? That's my fragrance.
It's a sign for wand'ring vagrants;
"Avoid where I pee, it's MY pro-per-ty!
Marked up as my winter wonderland!"
In the meadow dad will build a snowman,
Following the classical design.
Then I'll lift my leg and let it go Man,
So all the world will know it's mine-mine-mine!
Straight from me to the fence post,
Flows my natural incense boast;
"Stay off of my turf, this small piece of earth,
I marked it as my winter wonderland."

Written by Dutch in the coolest place on Dogster~ The German Shepherd Forum.
For all our Dogster pals.
'Twas the night before Christmas, as the clock chimed the hour,
Vincent chased Rosie ‘round a Poinsettia flower;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that Medea would sing for us there;
The Dogsters were nestled all snug in their beds,
With visions of cheese-whiz filled Kongs in their heads;
And Madalyn in her 'kerchief, and King in his cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
They all sprang to the door to bark, “What is the matter.”
Away to the window Kisses flew like a flash,
Nosed open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Showed the half-buried tennis balls buried below,
When, what to our glistening brown eyes should appear,
But a gigantic sleigh, and eight furry “reindeer,”
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
We knew right away that it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than beagles the harnessed dogs go,
And the hair that they shed, fell soft, like the snow;
"Now, Ekko! Now, Cookie! Now, Bullet and Cruiser!
On, Gretchen! On Charles! On Rex! Forward Bridger!
On past the hydrant! To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"
As guard hairs that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the house-top the GSDs flew,
With the sleigh full of bones, and St. Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, they heard up above
The clicking of nails and a snort and a shove.
As they drew in their heads, and were turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was covered in hair, from his head to his foot,
And working a lint brush, and ignoring the soot;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler with a big dog food sack.
His eyes -- how they twinkled! His dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
Cause he’d stepped in a yellow spot there in the snow;
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
While Natasha lay quietly chewing the wreath;
He bent to rub Bellaluna’s little round belly,
And joined Ranger and Arko for some toast with some jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And Bandit growled softly, in spite of himself;
With a wink of his eye and a pat on the head,
He let them all know they had nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
Heidi helped fill the stockings; then he turned with a jerk,
And laying his hand gently on Sushi’s head,
He said, “Please tuck your little skin-brother in bed;
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team, a short beep,
Onyx ruffed softly, it was now time to sleep.
But the big man exclaimed, ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas all pups, merry dreams, and good-night."

Ok dogster pups, one of our own needs your help!
Please take a look at Kiddo's page
http://www.dogster.com/dogs/670343
This beautiful old girl needs a furever home...INSIDE! She is 13 years old and her previous owner passed away (look at the pictures, you can just feel the love). Her owner’s grandchild is desperately trying to find an inside home for Kiddo. Look into your hearts, would you want your fur baby to be left outside if, dog forbid, something should happen to you? Please if you can, or if you know someone who can, help Kiddo. She deserves to be warm this Christmas, just like the rest of us!
Medea and Mom
*******UPDATE!*******
Update: 11/29/07 Kiddo will now be going to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah (bestfriends.org) She will eventually be put up for adoption through them.

Today you turn 9. I can't believe that all this time has passed. Everyday is only made better because I wake up with your nose in my eyes and come home to your wagging stubby tail.
I love you so very much, and as I sit here typing this, with you throwing your kong at me feet, I know you love me too. 9 years ago I saw you at the breeders, and you had my heart in an instant. I knew you were special. You make me laugh everyday, and I see you smile back at me. You have protected me, watched over me when I am sick, been my source of strength when I was down, and my hairy shoulder to cry on. It will take me a million years to give you all that you have given me, but I will never stop trying. Life hasn't always been easy, but together we made it through. You even let daddy live with us, that was so nice of you. Now your his special girl too. He loves you so much too.
So Happy Birthday Medea! Here's to 9 more!

Mom and I are not one's to put a lot of thought into all this horoscope stuff. However we were curious and board tonight and thought we would look at the new features at dogster. To our surprise, we found that my sign's description of me is right on the money. Here is what it said.
Virgo
You need to have a bit of patience with a Virgo dog as these animals can be very picky! Finicky is their middle name, especially at mealtime. Be sure to feed them simple food and to do it at the same time, every time.
This couldn't be more true. I have a very sensitive stomach and mom is forever worrying about my tummy.
The Virgo pooch is also prone to hypochondria, so they'll forever be wincing or yelping about this or that. Get used to it!
It is non stop whining with me (says mom!)
That said, it can be easy to care for this dog if what you need is a stable routine. The Virgo pup will enjoy being walked at the same time every day and will appreciate its usual route, thank you very much.
Every Morning at 8am I go for morning walkies, if not, I am a very unhappy girl
These animals are also neat and clean, so see to it that you clean up their mess as if it were your own bathroom.
This made mommy BOL for real (or LOL what ever these humans do) I don't like my "mess" to be left for anyone to see and if I can help it I just wont go until no one is looking.
The Virgo dog will not expect new toys as it is much more fond of its well-worn staples.
Although I am a princess, I always prefer my old bed and my old Kong. There is nothing like a good toy worn in so that you can just start chewing right where you left off.
They also have a great attention to detail, something that makes them good guard animals.
Mom swears I hear everything. I am always on the lookout.
While the Virgo canine can seem demanding at times, it's only because they know what they want and are counting on you to give it to them. Keep things simple and consistent, and you'll both be smiling that irresistible smile!
And boy do I smile!!
