Well, it has been a few days since I was last online. Taking care of Mia is like having a newborn baby again. Not getting a lot of sleep these days.
Leave A Comment | 11 people already have I was very picky any time I was sick too, from day to day, depending on - who knows? As she gets better, she won't be so picky. Maybe ask the vet if there's something she's not getting in her IV/food that her body "craves" - just throwing that out. Can't remember if I mentioned baby food - all kinds? Glad the feeding tube is working so well! Sending prayers and lots a Hugs to Mia and your Family. Luv, Jakie Mia, sweetie, you have to eat to get better. I am all better. Tell your momma that she might try to give you the same stuff momma gave me. She mixed baby strained chicken and baby rice cereal and then mixed it with whole milk until it was mushy, the cereal is vitamin fortified. I LOVED that stuff and I don't know why momma isn't still giving it to me. Please try it Mia, I think you will like it. What is in the formula in your momma is giving you in the tube feeding? Love to you and your family. I really try to eat. Hobo, you would be shocked if you saw the plates piled up in front of me that I just don't want to eat. My brothers can hardly believe I won't touch it. I have been staying downstairs away from them so they don't eat it before I get a chance to see if I want it. Mostly, Yuki has been getting all my leftovers. Aside from what I manage to eat on my own, my main diet from the feeding tube is a mixture of Hills prescription w/d and clinicare. It gets pureed in the blender and then measured out for my daily feedings. I'm on a 6 hour schedule and I'm fairly certain some weight is coming back. I'm almost excited to go back to the vet to see what I weigh :) I am definitely showing signs of improvement in most areas. At least now I seem to be happier and even a bit playful at times. Mia, Hobo's suggestion about baby food is a very good one but I have to add that the baby food with rice in it I refuse and will only gobble down the pure meat baby foods instead (apparently I don't like rice or noodles) - BOL. Please try to eat. Hugs and kisses, Coco Rose Praying for you to start eating better. Back when I was very sick my mom and dad used a perscription high calorie canned dog food. They thinned it and gave it to me in a syringe. I didn't want it but they kept trying to get it down me. Try really hard to eat Mia, we'll keep praying for you. I know how frustrated you get when Mia refuses the food - but at least she is doing better I also can imagine how tired you must be , lack of sleep , constant worries ... It hard to believe how pick she is and all the food offered to her :if mine eat one of these(pork chop , turkey hot dog) they would have the runs immediately .
