Mia's Memoirs
Recovery roomOctober 26th 2012 11:12 am[ Leave A Comment | 7 people already have ]
I just got off the phone with the U of M. Mia is out of surgery and stable. They said they took extremely careful precautions regarding the fluids and medications used with the anesthesia to prevent her from going back into congestive heart failure. They monitored her vitals and she was oxygenating well during the procedure but they will be giving her an injection of lasix since she didn't have her dose this morning.
Leave A Comment | 7 people already have Denise, I am so glad to hear that. It makes me smile. I am a pediatric nurse and have done many tube feedings on kids. It's pretty easy. You will get the hang of it quickly. Our dogs are going to put us in the poor farm. Thankfully, Hobo has a good appetite he just has to lick it instead of chew it. He is eating strained baby meat, chicken or turkey and baby rice cereal mixed with milk 3 times a day. He really loves it. He has not let out a cry for two days now. Mia will continue to be in our thoughts. Thank you God listened to our prayers ! Adrenaline was running high for mommy but we are relieved to know that she is in the recovery room and she will be heading home soon and as your friend Jenny says as a nurse , it is quite easy to administrate the tube feeding and hopefully it not pose a problem for you God bless you ! Off I go to spread the good news love and hugs Peek a Boo and Neuza I probably won't post again tonight. Need to watch Mia like a hawk. Her respiration rate is elevated so I just want to stay by her side. We understand. Keep a close eye on her. My momma is watching Hobo too. I am watching both of them. Mia and Hobo. We'll be keeping Mia in our prayers that she has a speedy recovery from the surgery. Love and hugs, Nina and family and Momma Susan Sending lotsa hugs and POTP! Keeping her in our prayers. |
