OMD!

Pups, it's been two months since my last update! I was thinking about Dogster last night and realized that we have been neglecting my page and all my pals! I think we can all agree that this neglect is the fault of Facebook and the conspiracy of our parents to become friends.

Anyways, the reason I was thinking of Dogster is this....last night, I had the best night!

It all started a lunch time. Mom was making egg salad. She only puts half of the yolks in her egg salad. I poked her in the knee and said "HEY! If you don't want them, I'll take them!" and she gave me TWO egg yolks!

Then, at dinner time, mom and dad shared their LOBSTER and STEAMERS with me! THEN! Mom baked some chicken for her work lunches this weekend. When she was done cutting it up, she gave me the plate with the chicken juice and the a whole lotta chicken pieces!

It was delicious.

Update (Finally!)

Hi pups! Well, mom and dad got married. On New Year's eve they became Mr. & Mrs. Mom and Dad. I did not partake in the festivities. I opted to stay in a doggy hotel. As it turns out, though, I didn't really like it. There were a lot of dogs there and they all liked to bark and play and be rowdy. I just chilled in my little room and told the staff to go away when they offered to take me for walks. I missed mom and just wanted to wait for her. So that's what I did. I waited. And waited. And waited some more.

Don't worry pups, there was a special hatch door that led outside for potty breaks. I just let myself out when I had to go.

Anyways, after what seemed like ten or twelve days, mom finally came to get me. When they told her that I was having a bit of a tough time, she asked if she could go get me from my room herself. They let her and she knew right away why I was shut down. Lots and lots of dogs were there and they were barking like mad! I like peace and quiet and I couldn't go head chomp the noisy pups. Sads.

I was chilling in my run with my back to the people. That's when I heard mom's voice. She said "Chippy...guess who it is..."

I perked up.

I started to whine a little.

The kennel lady got my leash. I pawed the door.

She got my collar. I headbutted the door, whining like crazy.

She opened the door and I JUMPED into mom's legs! She hugged me and kissed me and leashed me up. I high-tailed it right to the front door! We went to the car and I nuzzled and snuggled and kissed mom the whole way home!

I haven't left her side yet and I have been home since Sunday, BOL! It's good to be home!

Not fair.

There's a raccoon in my Santa Paws stocking. He's peeking out the top and he's wearing a Santa Paws hat. He showed up yesterday when dad got home from Christmas shopping. My stocking is hanging up on the wall way up high and I can't reach it. I can see it. But I can't reach it.

The raccoon is taunting me.

I can't get him.

Not fair. Not fair at all.

Christmas!

Hi pups,

Tis' the season to be jolly! I am getting a LOT of Christmas cards in the mail! Thank you Ella, Coco Rose and Puffy, Lucas and Flicka, Dylan, Tiberius and Jia!

Unfortunately, for mom and dad, tis' the season to be wedded! Mom and dad are planning a wedding for New Year's eve, so they are super busy. Also, we have like 8 birthdays between now and January 6! OMD! It's craziness around here!

Mom has decided that we are not sending out Christmas cards this year. At least not *before* Christmas. We will likely send out something to our pals in January or maybe for Valentine's day. We haven't decided yet.

Anywho, we just wanted to make sure that all of our pals know that we LOVE all of your cards and we will be sending out a little something soon, but not real soon, BOL!

Training Humans

Last night mom set up a bed on floor so we could watch WWE Friday Night Smackdown together. She put a big blankie on the floor and a pillow. She laid down and I laid next to her.

Apparently, she did not get the memo. Isn't it a rule that if the humans are down on the floor, they MUST pat the dog until the dog says they are done?

I nudged. And I nudged. And I nudged.

I stood up. I put my snout under her arm.

I licked her face.

I pushed my cold nose into her eyeball.

Nothing. A quick pat and she was done.

I wouldn't give up. Nudge. Snout palm. Face lick. Nose eyeball.

She kept stopping after a quick pat.

Humans are so hard to train.

NO Mom!

I did NOT run away from neighbor kitty today! I was NOT scared! Stop saying that I was!

Sure, he hissed at me and charged me.

Yes, I turned and went the other way.

NO! I did NOT(!) scamper away with my tail tucked between my legs.

Yes, I did pause when we turned the corner, but it was NOT to compose myself.

Yes, I did check to see if neighbor kitty followed me, but it was NOT because he scared me. I checked because I wanted to make sure he didn't run into the street.

You see, I am NOT afraid of neighbor kitty. I just didn't want to lay the smack down on him while his brother was watching from a top the cow's barn across the street.

Yeah. Yeah, that's it!
