OWWIE!!!

I have to have knee surgury...and I'm only 8 months old!!!! On Mommy's birthday, I surprised her by jumping on the couch, falling down and tearing my tendon from my lower leg...and it HURT!!! Not the kind of birthday present she was looking for, I'm sure, but it was the best that I could do :)

So anyhoo, we got to spend 3 hours at the ER only to find out I have to have surgery. On the bright side...I got to have a pretty pink splint on, mommy's favorite color...how did they know?

My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, I will let you all now how it goes!

Wish me luck...I'm a little nervous!

A sad day for our friend, Dylan...

Mommy's brother had a cute 12 year old cocker spaniel named Dylan (but mommy called him Dilly Bar).

As you can guess, old age got the better of him and he was put to his final rest today. Mar-Mar and I didn't know him too well, we've only played with him once, but we still loved him. Momma started crying when she found out that he was gone. She's puppy sat him since he was just a pup, so she is pretty sad about that.

Lots of love and prayers are going to his family...and we will miss him.

Rest in peace, sweet Dilly Bar...we loved you.

Time for a hair cut!!!

These summer days are way hotter than I expected! Every time I go out I am panting like a dog! (haha! I AM a dog...silly) Momma made a hair appointment for me tomorrow, but I think she is afraid that they will cut too much off...she likes to put my hair is fun bows and ribbons! I will be ok though.

I do love summer though...there is so much to do! Going for walks is my favorite...well maybe running around a back yard is better, but we don't have a fenced in yard, so walks rock until we go to Grandma's and Grandpa's...I am so fast! No one can keep up with me!

How I wish for those warm and sunny days!!!

Minnesota weather sucks! Two week ends ago, I was going for walks and have a grand time outside. This week end...we have 18 degree temps. What the crap is up with that?!?!

I loved going for those walks and meeting new people! I love sunning my self and getting a doggie tan! But this cold weather kind of has me down. I want to be out side!!!!!!!!!!! Smelling all of the fun things there are to smell! I want to hunt for Easter eggs with my momma and daddy tomorrow! But with this weather...I don't know what the plans are going to be. I hope that the Easter Bunny brings that warm weather with him tomorrow...that is what I hope I find in my easter basket! :)

Ouchies...I got spayed today :(

Today when I woke up, I thought that I was going to work with my momma...and I was really excited! She had the blanket out for me and she had her jacket on, I wasn't down stairs waiting for daddy to get up...all good signs that I am going some place fun with her.

Mommy must have felt really bad when she saw the look of disappointment on my face when we went to the vet instead because she had a little tear in her eye when she dropped me off.

I didn't want to go with the vet tech, even though she was very nice...I just wanted to be with my mommy...but they brought me back there and I did very well and I even got my favorite vet to do the operation.

I don't have too much energy to play right now and I am REALLY tired...hopefully soon I will be back on my feet and ready to play with Marlie...I think her's is coming up soon too though...and then she will be the unhappy one!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Yesterday was my 5 month birthday...and do you know what mommy and daddy brought home for me??? A new friend!!! She is a small tan/cream chihuahua about my age named Marlie. Too bad she isn't as fun as me, but I think I can work on her to get her to be more active. I think that she is just nervous about her new home...I know I was when I first came here (but not that nervous!!!)

The bad part is that she likes to pee on the carpet and mommy and daddy get frustrated. Oh well...all in good time and she will get it. I try to show her how to go where she is supposed to go...but because of all the excitement...I forgot for a second too and went on the carpet. Oops!

Mommy says that she will get a page up here for Marlie too as soon as she gets some pictures...I think you will all love her...but I am still cuter!!!!!! :)

Wahoo for Puppy Classes!!!

Mommy takes me to puppy class...and I LOVE it there! What's not to love? The treats, so many different friends to play with and to high five, the attention, the treats, new things to learn...did I mention the treats?!?! Mommy is so proud of me...I catch on the quickest out of my whole class! (There is a yorkie/poodle named Myron who sometimes tries to get a little too frisky!, german shepard named Indie, lab/poodle named Sadie, beagle/terrior named Chewy (after Chewbaca from Star Wars) and a schnauzer/poodle named Sam...all of whom are so darn cute! And it is quite a variety of pups too...which is one of my favorite parts.)

Yesterday, we learned "leave it" and it was so easy! If you leave the treat alone...eventually mommy will come and give me a better one...all you have to do is wait :)

I'm glad that mommy and daddy decided to let me go...I hope I get to do agility too...but that will probably have to wait for later.
