First Walk of the Season

Today was an unseasonably warm day in the high 60's. Mom decided to take me for a walk, but it is debatable as to whom was walking who...hehe! You see mom has a full leg brace on her right leg and has to use a walker to ambulate with. So, I pulled mom along and waited on her to catch up. We walked down past 3 houses to the corner and turned back because I didn't want to wear mom out. Mom has to learn that I have to stop and smell things and mark my territory, but otherwise we did good for our first time out together. Since I did such a good job, when we got home, mom shared her sugar cookies with me and later in the evening gave me french vanilla ice cream. I can't wait until the weather gets more better and we can go on more walks together.

My Very First

I wanted my first diary entry to be extra special. I am still in seventh heaven after my fellow dogsters chose me to be a royal dog of the week. It is such an exhiliarating experience. I am so humbled to be selected from so many wonderful prince charmings in the group of royal princess divas and prince charmings. There is no greater honor than to be selected by your peers when I have only been on dogster a short time. I didn't know what all the excitement was about when my human mom started screaming joyfully, "Rex has been chosen royal dog of the week!" I thought my mom was going to jump out of the chair and run to get my dad...which would have been a physical feat since mom has to wear a full length brace on her right leg and use a walker to help her get around for the rest of her life. My dogster pals have made my furever family and me so happy that we will cherish this honor forever. I might be prince charming for the week, but I feel like I am King of the world and that I am so loved. What a great life I now have. Thanks fellow dogsters. Mi Amor to all!
