Dog of the Day!!!

OMD! I am so excited! I was chosen as Dogster DOTD and I am so honored! I am also very excited to have so many congratulations and PPRs...I will enjoy my special day and thank Dogster for this great honor!!!

Spring!

I asked my mommy if she would type my diary since I am so busy and I can dictate it to her...bol
The weather is getting warm again and I have been spending lots of time outside. My brother Buster and I have gotten acquainted outside of his pen now and we can play together. Yesterday, he showed me how to track a bunny rabbit. Unfortunately, I have fluffy hair and I got tangled in some prickly bushes and my daddy had to get them out of my hair. I was really concentrating on the bunny and really didn't look where I was going. My brother Buster went diving in the bushes but he has flat hair and it squeaks right through! Thunder was watching the squirrels at the time and really didn't want to play with us. I was really having fun and then my daddy said it was time to go back in. I don't mind that either because I rule the house...I let Thunder come in sometimes but only when I think it is appropriate. I don't like him in there when I am eating...that's for sure!
Anyway, I am enjoying the warm days and feeling the wind ruffle my hair. Life is good!

Gosh...I have been busy!

I feel so bad that I haven't kept up with my diary! Life has been really busy over the summer...as soon as the weather is nice, I am outside alot and playing in the yard with Thunder! This summer has been a good and a bad one. In June, I lost my big brother Joe...he crossed over to the bridge one day and my mommy and daddy were really sad and I didn't understand where he went until my bridge sister Suzette came and told me that Joe was with them and that one day, he would get wings and come to see me. Well, Joe did and he has come to see me every day! He is so beautiful now with his really cool wings and he and all my bridge family come and visit me while my mommy and daddy are at work. I live in my "condo" during the day and sometimes, it gets a bit crowded with all my family in there with me...especially the big brothers, Bear & Joe! Suzette & Garth don't take up much space but whooo the brothers do!
The summer has flown by and now it is getting cool again. My mommy gave me a haircut about a month ago so I am not tooo cold...yet! She has a really cute sweater that I can wear when I start getting too cold.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a safe Halloween and will have a wonderful holiday season!

Finally!

Well, it has finally gotten warm here and I am sooooo happy! My mommy gave me a haircut a few weeks ago because I was looking more sheeplike than poodlelike and she couldn't stand it anymore! I was relieved to lose the 10lbs of hair I had but then froze to pieces right after my haircut! My mommy had to dig out a sweater for me and I don't like wearing those either! Anyway, things are finally warm and I have spent a lot of time outside with my daddy during the week and with my mommy on the weekends. Thunder is happy too cuz he sleeps outside and he said he was glad to have balmy nights again! My mommy lets him sleep in the garage when it is really cold but he hates being cooped up and likes patrolling the yard at night for critters and intruders. He is a good guard dog! I try to scare people away but they just look and say "awwwwww" which I don't understand. I don't know if that is a scared sound or a isn't he sweet sound...anyway...I do my best for my 5.5lbs...BOL

When will it ever get warm again???

Well, I guess it is time to whine about the weather! I am so ready for it to get nice and warm outside so I can get a really good haircut and go out and play with my brothers. I shiver when it is even a bit cool and I have a haircut so my mommy doesn't want to have me shaved til it is good and warm. In the meantime, I have to have baths all the time to keep my hair soft and fluffy. BOOOO! I had a really nice weekend this weekend...my mommy stayed home with me the whole time!!! She didn't have to go shopping or anything! That was totally awesome and gave her lots of time to play with me! I had my toys all over the living room and she would pick them up and I would pull them out...she HAS to know that I will win at this game. I especially love my squeaky bear...I keep that close by and when I want to play, I will put it in her hand or on her foot...just so she knows it's there. One time, my daddy didn't want to play (there was some kind of game on) but I finally put my toy on his face and then he HAD to play! I am so crafty! Well, that is my weekend in a nutshell...eat, play, go outside, sleep...etc. It's a doggie wonderful life!

Whew, I'm tired!

This has certainly been a busy week! My mommy had a lot going on at work and came home and told me all about it...I had to be her special listener and let her vent. I don't mind because I vent to her all the time. Anyway, then on Thursday, it snowed! I think I jinxed us because I had just told one of my pup pals that it rarely snows here and then it did! It was really pretty but when I went out, a big snowflake hit me square in the noggin. It scared me and I turned tail and ran to my mommy. She was laughing at me but I didn't care...just as long as she let me in the house again where it was warm! My daddy stayed home with me on Thursday and Friday which made them perfect days! He was really good to me and we slept most of the day...but we didn't tell mommy...hee hee. On Saturday, mommy was home with me but she left to go to the store and I stayed here and guarded the house. I did a good job because nobody came in. Today is Sunday and it is Super Bowl day! Mommy is making chicken wings for later and hopefully...if I am cute as possible...I may get a taste of the chicken. My daddy will get home just in time for the kickoff and we will watch the game together! Well, I am tired of writing this now...(my mommy is writing while I dictate) and I am off for a nap. Saturday...again!

It seems like the only time I get to use the computer is on Saturday. My daddy doesn't use the computer much so when he is home, we watch tv and go outside. My mommy has to catch up on her mail on the weekends and checks to see if I got any mail so I can write back to my pup pals! It has been a lot of fun to see who I get mail from and also the mail from the groups I am in. There are wonderful pals out there and I am glad I found this place. It has been really cold here (cold for us anyway...not compared to places with snow!) and I really don't like to go out and get my feet chilly. I run right back in and get in front of the fireplace and warm my tootsies right back up. My mommy is thankful we don't have snow because one time we had about 15 inches (that is high!) and everytime my brother & sister and I went out, we came back in with about a pound of snow stuck to us! She spent the whole day blow drying us and then about the time she got us dry, it was time to go out again! She didn't like that day! I thought it was funny! My sister, Suzette had balls of snow under her front legs and couldn't hardly walk. Mommy just rolled her eyes and got to work. It was fun running in the snow and I got snow up my nose but it got old quick! I am a big chicken when it comes to getting blow dried and when that happened all day, I decided I didn't want to go out any more! Well, I will close for now. I enjoyed remembering good times with my sister and brother who are now at the bridge. I love you Foo Foo & Garth and I miss you every day!

A day of remembrance...

Today was a sad day...it is the 5th anniversary of the passing of my human Aunt Sissy. She was a special person who loved me very much. She got cancer and was really sick. She would come over and stay with my family to make herself feel better. Me and my sister and brother would entertain her and make her laugh. I made her cry one day just by being so cute. She had some food on a plate and I stood on my back legs to see what it was and she squealed and started crying. She said I was the most adorable thing she had ever seen. Well, I didn't know what to do but lick her and let her know the feeling was mutual. My mommy took pictures of us together and they are some of mommy's most favorite pictures. We look so loveable and sweet. I miss my Aunt Sissy and I know that she is in Heaven. I still get to hang with her son Bobby (my cousin) and he plays catch with me. He is blind but all he has to do it throw it and I will bring it right back to him. I am the perfect fetcher for someone like him. He laughs so hard when I do that. Well, I will close for now. I just wanted to remember my Aunt Sissy. I LOVE YOU! slurp, slurp...

A visit from Nana

Today was a very special day. I got a visit from my Nana who I haven't seen in 2 years! She came and spent some time with me and brought me a new toy...a doggy that barks when I pick it up and shake it. She also brought me a tennis ball...I'm not sure what I am supposed to do with that but it was nice. I also made a new friend. I met a new puppy named Shane. He is an Akita puppy but he is really bigger than me! I was a big nervous but my mommy picked me up and kept me up high so I could check him out. He played with my brother Thunder because they were almost the same size. He is going to live with a family in another state and they had come to pick him up in a town near us. I know he will have a lot of love.
After all the visiting, I was totally pooped out and ended up napping while my daddy watched all the football games.
That was my special day!
