I know my Mommy and Daddy already follow these commandments and I know all the Moms and Dads of my Dogster friends do too . . . . . but, believe it or not, there are some people who don't know this! If you ever meet someone like that please make them read this!


A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS

1. My life is likely to last only 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainments, but I have only you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.
10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

My little brother Caper, got in BIG trouble today!

Mamma was cooking bacon and she left to get the phone, Caper got up on the counter and flipped the plate onto the floor and started eating it! I told him to stop or Mamma was gonna be real mad and that he needed to try and put the bacon back on the counter, but then Mamma came in and saw . . . . . she was soo mad and she grabbed the bacon out of Caper's mouth. I was just sitting there being sooo good, cause I'm a really good dog :-). Mamma saw me and said how good I was and gave ME the bacon! Ha ha, thanks Caper.

Now . . . . . Caper tried to tell Mamma that I told him it was okay to get it, but nobody believes that . . . . . . do they?

Hey Dogsters,

I am absolutely disgusted at the way this man treated our friends. I know all of them are now safe at the bridge and are finally free of the horror they lived on this earth.

Dog's Beware, I almost drowned today!

Hey every doggy,

Today my Momma took me to my favorite park! It has been raining A LOT here in Texas lately. I love to swim and I found the perfect spot, I jumped off a land bridge right into the water, about 3 1/2 feet deep. I was swimming around having a great time and all of a sudden, I started paddling really fast ~ then I was headed towards the culvert! My Daddy tried to pull me, but it happened so fast! I was in the culvert all the way UNDER water! My Daddy tried to pull me up, but realized he couldn't! Then tried to reach down and grab me, but that put slack in my leash and I went further in! So Momma had my brother Caper's leash and she just dropped it and jumped in. She pulled me out. I was very afraid, but okay. Just a little scratch on my front paw. Mamma said I was a good girl, I held my breath the whole time, so I didn't take in any water! I had my eyes open the whole time too! I was looking at Mommy and Daddy, I knew they would get me out! My brother is okay too, luckily he didn't run away, he was too worried about me and Mamma, even crying a little! Mommy says she knows about things like this, but the water seemed perfectly calm? Very Scary! Be careful everydog!

Cousin Zues

Hello!

Today was a super fun day. My Mommy took me to the park to play with my cousin Layla and my NEW cousin Zues :-). He is only 3 months old and already bigger than me! He's a pitbull. He's very shy and sweet. Layla and I taught him how to swim, he liked that . . . . . we also tried to teach him to walk on a leash, but he didn't like that much. Hopefully, my Aunt Michelle will put him on Dogster soon so everyone can see how cute he is.

Anyway, I'm really sleepy now. Mommy says I'm not supposed to run around like a crazy dog because of my arthritis, but I don't listen :-) I love to run and swim and run some more. I think it's Mommy who can't keep up - hee hee hee.
