Another Grooming Day

Dear Diary,

Mom took Dad, Ate and Me to the groomers today. Summer is here and the heat is really wearing us down so mom decided to give all of us a puppy cut. The groomer said I was the most behaved among all of us. Of course, I wanted to show him that I'm really a good boy despite my playfulness and natural ability for mischief. I sat straight whenever the groomer told me and stopped fidgeting whenever he said stay.

I guess mom likes my new do coz she kept on hugging and wugging me and kept on telling me I looked like Dad. He called me Soui a number of times, mistaking me for dad. Anyway, mom was really happy when I behaved well during the drive to and from the groomers. I didn't throw up this time coz I just lay down the mat that mom prepared for me. Ate and Dad were really fidgety and she kept barking at the passing cars.

*sigh* This day is really grand and I do look really cute, if I do say so myself :)

Yipeee!!!

Dear Diary,
I finally got the last of my booster shots last Sunday. The vet also gave me my anti-rabies shots already. In one week, I can go take a bath already then mom can now walk me in UP. Ohhh!! I'm so excited. I always get left behind when dad and ate goes out soon, they are going to take me with them. Mom says, I might need a new collar and leash coz I've grown big and the old one just doesn't fit anymore. Mom is thinking of getting me a harness just like Dad and ate.

*sigh* I can almost taste the new rocks, grass and leaves that I'm about to taste when I get to UP. I hope I meet a whole lotta new dogs. Mom's thinking of walking just the three of us first for a few weeks before we join the Dog Walk Club. Ate gets excited at the sight of many big dogs, she might pick up a fight.

Dirty ole me

Dear Diary,
I just took a bath 2 days ago and mom is now wondering how I could get this dirty. It's kinda difficult to explain you see coz, whenever I see all those luscious grass, tempting soil, sticky mud and those yummy stones...ohhhh!! I just can't help myself. I have recently mastered the art of pulling grass right at the roots. I gave mom an early valentine present last night, I pulled out the fattest bunch of grass from the garden, roots and all and gave it to her last night. She doesn't seem happy though, I got a swift pat on my butt. Hmmm...maybe I should've pulled out the roses instead.

3 months old

Dear Diary,

Wheeeee!!!! I finally turned 3 months old last January 24 and I feel like a new man. I'm getting my shots now with boosters every two weeks. My last shot will be on February 18, that will be the booster for 5 in 1 plus anti-rabies shots. I've been really itching to go with Dad and Sis during their walks but Mom said I can't join them until my shots are complete. By March, Mom and the three of us will join the weekly Dogwalk Club in UP and I'll get to meet a whole lot of new dogs! Wheee! Friends at last and out of the confines of the garden! Out of the house and into the wild!!! Wahooo!!! I wonder how many stones I can collect and take home? Is the grass really greener on the other side of the gate? Are there big dogs whose paws are as big as I am? Will they play with me? Will they like me or bark at me? Can I swim in the pond with them? Can I play in the mud? Ohhh, I'm so excited diary. I hope there are other shih-tzus that I can play with the same age as I am. I'd love to pull their ears and gnaw at their tails. Yum!
Haaayyy! Can't wait til I get the last of my shots. Next shots to follow would be deworming or Frontline spraying to get rid of these nasty itchy ticks. :)

Hey hey hey! I'm having the time of my life here. Good food, good family, nice pup pals. If I had only known that being a pup was this fun, I would've asked my mom to have given birth to me a loooong time ago.

I got a lot of toys here, most of them hand-me-downs from dad and big sis but they're still pretty good and yummy. My human mom also gives me these nice raw hide bones and denta bones. They're really good for munching and crunching. YUM! I've gained half a pound in 5 days and I've been spending a lot of time at the water bowl and food bowl. Sis and dad barely has time to gobble up their share. (take about being a glutton) Can't blame me, though I'm still recovering from my recent confinement at the hospital. I went to see the vet last Sunday for a check up and I seem to be doing pretty well. I'm due to have my shots on the 21st so wish me luck. I had my first bath 2 days ago since my confinement. It felt pretty good to be smelling this nice and this clean. Mom combed by hair till I shone and she sprayed on some cologne so I smell like dad and big sis now. They can no longer tease me for being pungent.

Mom's real happy coz I started to poo and pee in the garden days ago. I still miss on some days though :( Sometime, I just can't hold it anymore and there I go right in the rug. I got reprimanded once for pooing beside the fan. It stank like jeez! With a little more practice, I'll be able to perfect this toilet-training thing. Oh, and mom's been teaching me a few tricks like stand and shake. I have a hard time standing up though coz of my big butt. Mom's also teaching me to wait. Now, that one is difficult coz the moment I smell those yummy bacon strips, I just goooo CRAAAAAZZZZYYY! and so does dad and big sis!

Yoiks! Gotta Go! Sis is pulling my ears again for a bit of playtime.

His Royal Highness Mr. Yum Hershey Cornflakes Hen Piaoliang

Dear Diary,

I am the newest addition to Dadi Soui's growing family. And Yep, that's my full name right there. I know it is a bit of a mouthful, even horrid to a certain extent but my pets could not decide what to name so each of them contributed and suggested a name, hence...a mouthful. They call me Hershey for short though or bunso since I am the youngest. I came last January 7 to my new home. Unfortunately, I got sick right away coz I still did not have my shots at 10 weeks. I spent my first two days with my new family at the doggie hospital. Whatta welcome huh? It's not their fault, it's those dang worms!!!! Eeeyuch! The vet took real good care of me so I am back in my playful form in about 3 days. I am now playing with my Dadi Soui and my big sister Kirei. They keep chasing me around and it's still hard for me to keep up because I still have tiny paws and a big butt. I stinke of mixed medicine, poo, pee and doggie smell coz I can;'t have a bath for a week. Mom wipes me with a towel soaked in warm water and alcohol every night though to keep me from smelling like poo totally.

I'm still on my way to recovery and the vet says I am anemic too. Mom makes me swallow some icky vitamins to help make me strongs. Brrrrr!!!!!

I'm looking forward to meeting some more friends and to grow big and strong just like my dadi Soui.
