Dear Santa Paws,
I donèt really know you. You see, last christmas when you came around I was just a pup, about 3-4 weeks old, so really, I dont remember you or Christmas. This was going to be my furst official Christmas. I guess it still can be...? I dont know... Do we celebrate Christmas at the Rainbow Bridge? I sure hope we do. My sisters told me so many wonderful things about Christmas in the short time that I was with them. They told me about sharing and caring, pretty twinkle lights all aglow on the Christmas tree, presents and yummy foods. They said the smells that would fill the house smell so good that I would want to eat the air. BOL it all sounded so amazing!
Anyway, Santa Paws, Ive been a good girl all year long. Anyone you ask will tell you so. Ive been a perfect little angel, litterally. In my short time on earth, I was a good pup. I didnt wee wee on the carpet. I didnt do things I was not susposed to. I shared with my sisters. I followed Mommy everywhere. A good, good pup! When I got my wings I watched over my family and comforted them through the hardest time in their lives the best I could. I check in on them every day. Mommy says she can feel me watching and following her. I have also watched over all my pals and my true love Link. When his sister Teddi Sue was stolen, I watched over her and guided her. We all know that after furever she found her way home, finally. Ask her family, they will tell you that they know it is because of her guardian angel, me. Ièm not trying to brag her Santa Paws, just letting you know that I have been oh so good and done my duties.
Santa Paws, as a good little angel I am making a special request... please bring Christmas to the Rainbow Bridge so we fur angels can share in the love, joy, happiness and magic that is Christmas! And I can experience my very furst Christmas!!!
Sincerely,
a sweet angel asking for love,
♥Aurora ♥
PS: If you could bring my sisters something special for Christmas that would make me a very happy girl! THANK YOU

Dear Sweet Baby Aurora...
From the time you emailed us at 4 weeks old asking us to be your FURever Mommy and Daddy right up until your final seconds, we loved you dearly. 2 1/2 weeks hardly seems like anything at all, but you gave us a lifetime of joy and memories that we will treasure. Even though you were only 10 1/2 weeks old, you accomploshied so much and had a great impact on so many people.
I remember reading that first email you sent your Daddy and I... We were so shocked to be receiving an email from a little puppy asking us to be her family, especially since we were not looking for a puppy at the time. Your sweet little picture was attached at the bottom and it was love at first sight! You were everything I had ever wanted in a new puppy and you Daddy thought you were the sweetest little thing! You found us Baby Girl, and we were so blessed.
We came to see you for the first time when you were 5 weeks old. We already loved you more than words could possibly express. Your Daddy and I were so excited the whole 3 hour drive to get to you. When we finally got there and Madelen put you in my arms I knew that I would never let you do. You were something special - I knew it right then and there. You gave me sweet kisses as if to say "I love you Mommy" and you and I bonded instantly. Daddy was eventually able to pry you out of my arms and you greated him with the same love and affection. We couldn't get over how sweet and affectionate you were for only 5 weeks. After Daddy cuddled you awhile we put you down to see what you would do... and you gave us a show we would never forget! You were the most spirited and fiesty little girl we had ever seen. Just the kinda girl we needed to be Faith and Denali's sister. You were bossy with your birth Mama and got into a fight with the cat. How cute were you..?? Aurora Baby, you were the little firecracker we always wanted!!
The next 3 weeks were filled with such great anticipation! We couldn't wait to get the call to come pick you up. You and Madelen were great through those 3 weeks. You both sent us lots of emails with sweet little pictures. With each photo we fell deeper in love with you. We made you your very own little page on here and introduced you to all the great pups! You had over 100 pals before you even had a name or were home. We spent those three weeks shoping and spoiling you before you were even there! We were like first time pawrents!
When your Daddy and I finally got the call to come get you we were so excited. We didn't want to wait until Sunday. We thought we were going to die befpre Sunday ever came, but somehow we got through... We packed all your new blankies, bed, sweater, toys, food, etc. into the car and made our way to you. The car wasn't even in park before I jumed out and was running for the door to get my sweet little baby. I'll never forget the look on your face when you saw me. It screamed MOMMY I LOVE YOU! I love that look little baby, You've gave it to me each and every day since then.
Your first day home, you showed Faith and Denali who was boss from the get go! It was the most adorable thing we had ever seen. Faith mothered and watched over you like her own pup and Denali took to you as an instant paly mate. You were all so cute and adorable together. You strut your stuff around the house like you owned it, and even took food right out of your big sister's mouth. You were definietly a force to be recconed with. You were bossy and sassy and we loved! It was exactally what we had imagined our new dogter would be like.
I'll never forget our first night together. I put you inyour little crate beside the bed (we wanted you to be safe) and you cried and cried for me to let you out. So, I took you out and cuddled you in bed. You fell asleep in my arms and I soon drifted away too. I woke the next morning to you kissing my face and giving me little barks to get up. You slept with me each and every night beside my face and woke me every morning with a kiss. This I miss so much.
You were demanding without being over bearing. It was really quite sweet. You needed me more than anything and you were never afraid to let me know this. If I left your sight for more than 10 seconds, even just to go to the bathroom, you would cry for me. You were definietly Mommy's little Princess. You were my shadow. Everywhere I went you went. And in our 2 1/2 weeks together you and I were together ALWAYS, litterally. You and I formed a bond so strong that it seems like we had 20 years. You were definietly my pupmate. I know this now.
Aurora, you were the sweetest most affectionate little girl we have ever meet. Your love knew no limits. We all cherished and adored you. We loved you with everything we had. I know that you know you were loved and it brings us peace in your absense. Although you were taken from us far too soon, we have no regrets. We know that you have made your way to the Rainbow Bridge and have found peace and will never be alone. We also feel your presense and know that you are watching over us and that you will be right here for us when we need you.
We love you Sweet Baby Girl and always will. You will be forever in our hearts. We know that someday you will make your way back to us, just like you found us this time. We're your FURever family... no matter what!
Loving you Always and FURever,
Your Mommy and Daddy and your sisters, Denali and Faith. This is a special Tail of Devotion

YIPPIE!!
I'm home at last...FINALLY!
Mommy and Daddy came to get me this afternoon. I was so excited when then got there. I started jumping all over Mommy as soon as she walked in the door. She scooped me up and I gave her so many kisses that I lost count and she gave me just as many back. "I missed you Mommy". Of course as soon as they got there I was in a big rush to get going. I wanna see my new home and play with my sisters. So, Daddy gathered my belongings, Mommy wraped me a soft, warm blankie and we went out to the car.
When we got to the car, I saw that they had a nice bed on the seat for me with more warm blankies and cuddly toys. I snuggled into the bed. It was sooo soft and warm and get comfortable for the long ride home. Well, I was so comfy cozy that I fell right asleep. The time just flew by. The next thing I knew, Mommy was waking me to tell me that we were home.
Mommy carried me inside the house. I got a glimpse of the family room as we walked into the kitchen so I could wee on the p-pad. Let me tell you, looks like I've hit the jackpot! The digs are pretty sweet! After I did my business, my sister Denali showed up. WHOA!! She's a spaz! Mommy told me so, but never in a million years did I believe that she would be this crazy!!! She was all over me like a wet blanket. "Let's play, Aurora. Let's play NOW!". She was zipping all over the room ...zoomies, I think it's called. "Chase me, Aurora." I didn't know what to do with her. Daddy came and told Denali that she should give me some space, so he put the gate up so I could have some time to gather myself. As Denali left the kitchen she said to me, "You're going to be my new side-kick. My partner is crime." Oh, my! What is she going to get me into.
Well, once I was able to gather my bearings, I located the watercooler and took a nice long drink. Oh, it was so cool and refreshing. Next, I decided to check out the kitchen area. Maybe scope out a crumb or two..?? I did the rounds but came up empty. Just then I heard something. A whimper and whine. "Come here, Aurora. I wanna see you too." It was coming from the other side of the gate. I trotted over to the gate to see a great big nose! WOW! I've never seen a nose so big. "This is your sister, Faith," Mommy told me. She scooped me up and put me on the other side of the gate right at the feet of a GIANT! Mommy never told me I had a giant for a big sister! WHOA!! At least Faith was much more laid back than Denali. I don't know if I could handle another one like her. SHEESH! Big sis gave me a kiss on my head, which, by the way, nearly knocked me off my feet and told me that she would always be there for me. SWEET! A personal body guard! Next thing I knew, Mommy had swept me off my feet and took me back to the kitchen.
DINNER TIME! Mommy gave me a bowl of soft kibble. My favourite! But wait! It tasted different ... better ... YUMMY! Mommy told me she added some chicken broth to my kibble, rather than water, to moisten it. KEEP IT COMING MOMMY! It was so yummy. I gobbled it down quick.
After my delisious dinner Mommy gave me my blankie and some toys to play with. NEW TOYS! How lucky am I? I played and played and played. Boy, it's exhausting ... this playing with toys business. Mommy then told me that all my pals on Dogster would want to hear from me ... so, here I am. However, I am rather tired and I'm falling asleep as I type this. I've had a very busy day. Mommy says it's a lot for a little pup like me!
So, now I'm going to take a nap in my new comfy cozy bed. I'll catch you all later!
GOOD NIGHT!
Aurora, home at last...

Mommy and Daddy have FINALLY decided on a name!!! YIPPIE!
And the winner is.........
AURORA!
Isn't it the most beautiful name?!?!? And it's mine, mine, MINE! -WOOF- Mommy tells me that it means dawn in Latin. And Aurora was the Roman goddess of sunrise. Also, not to mention Aurora Borealis the luminous atmospheric phenomenon appearing as streamers or bands of light a.k.a. The Northern Lights. Pretty, isn't it? And Sleeping Beauty, her name was Aurora. Mommy say's she's going to tell me all about her when I come home.
Speaking of coming home....
MOMMY AND DADDY ARE COMING TO GET ME TOMORROW AFTERNOON!!!
I'm soooooooo excited! I get to meet my new sisters and see my new home. It doesn't get much better than that! Let me tell you, I'm the luckiest pup alive! I feel like a PRINCESS! -WOOF- I don't know what to do with myself! I can't sleep. I'm goning to stay up all night waiting for Mommy and Daddy. I'm going to sit by the window so I can see them as soon as they get here! I've got my bags all packed and ready to go!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to take up watch at the window.

YIPPIE!!
A couple of nights ago ...Tuesday, I think... Mommy got THE CALL! Yup! The nice lady who is taking care of me called Mommy and said that I can be picked up!
On Tuesday, the nice lady took me to the vet where I was placed on a cold metal table. This person poked and prodded at for what seemed like forever. And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, it happened! I was stabbed! That vet person stabbed me with a long and pointy thing and injected me with something. It hurt! The nice lady told Mommy I cried and cried like the little baby that I am. Now, the only good thing that came of going to see this vet person is that they told the nice lady that I am strong and healthy and ready to leave my birth Mama and go home to my new family! I tell ya, hearing that made me stop crying in an instant and jump for joy.
So, that night while I was cuddling with my birth Mama for what might be the last time, the nice lady called my Mommy and told her she can come to get me when ever she wants. I hope it's NOW! I wanna go stay with my Mommy and Daddy and play with my BIG sisters.
Mommy told the nice lady that she would like to come this weekend, Sunday, to pick me up. Then, apparantly, Mommy remebered that we're due for a snow storm this weekend. From what Mommy tells me, it's just over a 2 hour drive to get to where I am. So, Mommy told the nice lady that she would come on Sunday if the weather was good, and if not, she would have to wait until next weekend! NOOO....NOT NEXT WEEKEND! I WANNA GO HOME NOW! -wipes a tear from her eye-
Anyway, Mommy told me that I need to be happy and enjoy and cherish my time with my birth Mama and the nice lady. So, I'm a good girl and I'll do what Mommy says, but I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want Mommy and Daddy to come and get me on Sunday.
So... my paws are crossed and I'm hoping that we don't get too much snow this weekend so that Mommy and Daddy can make the drive to come and get me!

So, Mommy has agreed with Daddy that I will have a GM name as long as it "suits" me when I come home.
Daddy is very determined that I have a GM name like my sister, Denali. Daddy works for GM. He says that GM allows us (pays for) to have everything that we do have. Sheesh... Daddy's devoted, but I guess he's right. I think he just uses that as an arguement to get his own way! BOL
Anyway, they have narrowed the list (see previous entries for FULL list) down to the following names:
Sierra
Savana
Catalina
Malibu
Aurora
That's them. One of those is going to be my name ... "so long as it 'suits' me". -WOOF- I'm getting so excited! I can't wait to come home with Mommy and Daddy and meet my sisters. I have an appoinment with the vet this week and as long as he gives me the all clear Mommy and Daddy can come pick me up this weekend or next. YIPPIE!!
Well, I'll keep you posted on the name. And thank you to everyone who made suggestions. We really appreciate it.

On and on goes the great name debate...!!!
Mommy and Daddy say it is hard to pick out a name for me until I come home and they spend some quality time with me. However, they are trying to compile a list of "possible names". Daddy, he works for GM and wants to name me after a GM like he did my sister, Denali. Mommy's not too sure about this one. Mommy wants something original and creative - maybe Spanish or Italian..??
Here is the list of GM names that Mommy and Daddy are considering:
...Malibu ... Sierra (Mountain / "saw") ... Acadia ("place of plenty") ... Savana (plateau) ... Caprice (impulsive/whimsical/unpredictable - fanciful) ... Cheyenne ... Celebrity ... Lumina (sunshine/brilliant light) ... Catalina (pure) ... Tempest (stormy) ... Alero ... Intrigue ... Aurora ("goddess of the dawn"/"sleeping beauty") ... Electra (amber/shining)...
pmail us with your pick, thoughts, definitions, meanings from the GM list
ALSO...
We're asking for YOUR help with ethnic names. Please pmail us with your suggestions (if it's a Spanish, Italian, etc. word/name, please include the meaning - where possible).
Looking forward to hearing your suggestions!
THANKS

YIPPIE!
Just 3 more weeks until I can go home with my brand new Mommy and Daddy. I am sooooo excited! -WOOF-
They came to visit me yesterday and see how I'm growing. Mommy said even though I'm still a little girl, I'm getting so big! I weigh 1.5lbs now and fit in the palm of Daddy's had. Mommy and Daddy were so pleased to see that I am a "spunky little girl full of personality" ... whatever that means. They say that I'll fit in just fine with my new sisters Faith and Denali. What are sisters, by the way? Mommy says I've been an only furbaby up until now, but this is all going to change in 3 weeks when Mommy and Daddy bring me to my new home. Mommy and Daddy are so confusing sometimes! Anyway... My Daddy, he has really nice shoes that were so much fun to chew on. I chewed on them the whole time he was visiting me! Oh, and I also got into a fight with my birth Mama and then she put me in my place. -PUPPY SAD EYES- Oh well... what's a girl to do...?
So, Mommy and Daddy told me that they're going to spend the next few weeks shopping getting stuff for me. Can you imagine that..? I've never had "new" things before. It sounds so delightful!!! As well, Mommy told me that we're going to go shopping together, becuase this is what girls do. SHOPPING! I'm soooooo EXCITED! -WOOF WOOF- Back on track... Mommy's going to get me a new collar (but I won't be able to wear this right away), a harness and leash set, food, treats, my very own bowls (this is amazing-I won't have to share), a bed, a blankie, toys, my own travel carrier (this sounds first class), a sweater (or 2, or 3 - ...shopping - it's going to be fun - and a girl's gotta look her best), and all kinds of other exciting things! I think I'm moving up in the world... and I'm going to like my new life! Mommy says I'm going to be pampered, spoiled, and loved - just like my big sisters. But let's be honest... I'm the BABY, so I'm going to get just a little bit more! heheehe!
I wish I could have gone home with Mommy and Daddy yesterday (and so do they - Mommy sais so), but Mommy told me that I need to spend a little bit more time with my birth Mama so I can be strong and healthy. Also, Daddy told me that I have to wait a few weeks to go to the vet ...whatever that means... to get my shots and stuff before I can come play with my big sisters. What is this "VET" thing? Doesn't sound as exciting as shopping. MEH! Nevermind... I have more exciting things to think about!
My Mommy and Daddy are still trying to think of a CRE-a-TIVE (I think that's what they said...?) name for me that's also cute (I know this one... Mommy calls me that ALL the time). They said it's hard to pick one out when they don't get to see me too much and spend time with me. They want to make sure my name fits my personality....???? They, rather Mommy, have a few picked out, but they don't know if any will work once I come home. They include:
... Paris ... Mercedes (a.k.a. Sadie) ... Dolce ... Gucci ... Caprice ... Dakota (Daddy doesn't like this one cuz it's a DODGE and he works for GM ...whatever that stuff means. - hence my sister's name: Denali) Daddy want's to name me after a GM like my sister. He says that he has to go over "the list" and see if something fits. Mommy says that's not happening this time, cuz there are no more good names to choose from. I'm confused! Who would have thought this naming business was so hard...???
Anyway... I'm tired! and I need my beauty sleep so that I can still be Mommy's little cutie when she comes to get me in a few weeks!
