Girls Afternoon Out

Yesterday afternoon the weather was nice so Mommy decided to take us all to the dog park to run around and play in the creek.

We all packed in the tiny rental car we have right now (long story) and off we went.

We got there and you could just smell how much fun this place is. Mommy took us down into "The Pit" which is a big open area where I got to run Zoomies with Denali and Starr. It was so much fun. I ran and rolled around in the sand (trying to take my muzzle off because I HAVE to wear it - BOO) and just had FUN!

After a bit of Zoomies, Mommy took us into the forest for the hike. It was so nice in the forest. We met this really cool dog named Polly and her humans (including kids) who took a real interest in me and what I've been through (don't get me started). So, they decided to join us on our hike. Unfortunatly due to law (Boo BILL 132 - Pitte Ban) I had to stay on my leash, but I had fun anyway. Every now and then when Mommy knew we weren't going to run into people, she droped my leash and let me run the trails with Denali, Starr, our new friend Polly, and the kids. It was such a rush!!!

Our hike ended at this amazing place! It was the doggy watering hole!!! There were dogs as far as the eye could see splashing about in the creek, lazing in the sun on the banks and running in the long grass. WOW!!! It was sheer overload!! For me, it was a bit scary because too many dogs at a time don't go over well with me - brings back some bad memories. Since Mommy knows this, she took me to a nice little spot slightly away from the dogs and put me on my super long leash so I could play in the water with Denali and Polly. I didn't really like the swimming part, but wading sure was fun. And so was chasing Polly.

Every now and then a dog or two would come over and say hi and that was kinda nice. They still scare a little but Mommy assured me it would be ok and I was learning. However, a few people got really mad and yelled at their dogs for coming near me. They say I'm mean. I just don't get it. I guess they don't understand that I HAVE to wear my muzzle and leash or Mommy and I both could get in BIG trouble. Mommy says ignorance will be the death of us (meaning pitties/staffies) so she doesn't like to take any chances, even though that sometimes means I don't get to have as much fun as the other dogs. I get it though. She is protecting me and being responsible - making sure I live a full and happy life. Thank you Mommy for wanting the best for me!

Anyway, we played at the creek for a few hours and just had a BLAST! I climbed across logs and splashed about and even layed out and worked on my tan... *winks* BOL

When it was finally time to go, I was a bit sad, but Mommy promised I could come play again. YAYYYY! So, we hiked back to the place where we had left the car and piled in and made our way home. I didn't really realize until I got home, just how tired I was. I climed up on the couch in my favourite sunny spot and slept for hours.

Here is a picture of us girls at the dog park (sorry it's a little blury - it was taken on a cell phone)

So I was surfing the net with my Mommy this afternoon and came across a great video on YouTube that I just had to share with you all!

It's a WONDERFUL picture video about Staffordshire Bull Terriers that depicts who we TRULY are and I was so happy, excited and proud to see it.

So, take a minute and enjoy the video....

Bullies at the Dog Park

Mommy has been spending a lot of time on the computer the last couple weeks. She says that she's doing research. She's trying to find a fenced in dog park where she can take me to play off leash since we have the Pit Bull Ban here.

Well, finally after a few weeks research Mommy finally found "THE ONE". A dog park that is 100% fenced. She told me taht it would be a 45 minute drive to get there, but I didn't care because I just want to be able to run free - and more importantly, I wanna play with other dogs! Mommy sat me and my sister, Denali, down and told us all the rules (as per the website) so that we could be good girls at the park.

So, on Monday afternoon Mommy and Daddy let us jump up in the truck and off we went. ...Hi-ho Hi-ho it's Off to the Dog Park We Go!... We were so excited with anticipation, espicially once we pulled into the parking lot and could see it "FREEDOM LAND" with all the other dogs - there were about 20! Oh, if ever there was a place to call Heaven! We started to jump around and whine. I WANT OUT! I WANT TO PLAY! I WANT TO RUN! Mommy told us to calm down or we were not getting out of the truck. So, I did as Mommy said, Denali on the other had did NOT listen.

Anyway, Mommy and Daddy finally let us out. In all the excitement I had undone my jacket and got one leg out. So, Mommy told Daddy to go ahead with Denali while she fixed me up. A girl's gotta look her best - that's what Mommy always tells me. Right then I didn't care. I JUST WANNA RUN! Mommy fixed me up and we started to walk over to the gate.

As we approached, a man told Mommy that I can't go in there. Mommy started to get a little annoyed and asked the man why. He told her that apparantly "Pit Bulls" are not allowed in the park. Mommy said to the man that the website did not say this. We looked around and Mommy and I both told the man at the same time that there was no sign posted. He then prceeded to tell us that this was a "new" rule and a sign needed to be put up. Well, Mommy told the man where to go and started to enter the gate. Well, didn't the man and some other people in the park get out there phones. Apparantly they were going to report us. Mommy didn't want any trouble so she told Daddy to stay with Denali and let her play and that we were going to to for a walk. Mommy said that she was going to make some calls and see if she can do something about this. I really hope she can.

So, my dreams of running free and making some new friends were stomped on and crushed by an evil man and his "Pittie" hating friends. -sighs- People can be so mean. They just don't understand. All I wanted to do was run and play, maybe sniff the occasional bum.

My Sister Has "Hollywood Fever"

UGH!

My sister, Denali, is so weird sometimes! I don't know how we can be related!! Honestly, she's a piece of work, that one!

Last night Mommy thought it would be fun to film some videos on her cell phone to put on our bio pages - and it was fun. That is... until Denali's head swelled up bigger than the size of a hot air balloon! OMG She was such a camera hog! She wouldn't let me have my turn. Everytime Mommy tried to film my special video, she kept sticking her head in fron of the camera. And it didn't end there. ...NOOOO! She was strutting around, asking if we're ready for her close up, putting on different outfits, asking "do I look fat in this?" - YES! For god sakes, you look like a COW! SHESH! Usually I can put up with her antics, but last night was just beyond UNBELIEVABLE! And to top things off - the icing on the cake... she thinks she's going to HOLLYWOOD! Can you believe that?!?!? She packed her bags and everything! - that is until Mommy stoped her dead in her tracks and told her to get her head screwed on right! BOL

So... we made some videos last night and Mommy put them on our bio pages. If you look in our video libraries, there are more - even a video of me putting that HOT SHOT in her place! -WOOF- If you have a minute, take a look. I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Good Times for a Bullie...

-WOOF WOOF-

Today was a totally awesome day!

Mommy had the day off work which means ... FAITH AND DENALI TIME!!! I love it when Mommy has the day off - we do so much fun things!

The day was full of fun activities. I won't explain them all, as my little sister, Denali, has already done so. I just want to tell you about the high-light of MY day! After dinner (homemade stew - YUMMY), Mommy and Daddy took us for a walk to the park. Being winter it gets dark really, really early. We got to the park and NO ONE was there. Since we were alone and it was dark Mommy and Daddy decided to take off my muzzle and leash and let me play - YIPPIE!! I got to run and run and run and run some more! Oh, It was so nice to feel "FREE" at the park - not have to stay on my leash while all the other dogs run around. We (Denali and I) got to play ball, but for some reason unknown to me Denali was a ball hog. That's ok, though. I don't mind. I just wanted to run and be FREE ... FREE ... FREEEEEEEE! It was so nice to feel the wind blowing through my fur! It's been sooo long! I live for stolen moments like these...

Anyway, that's really all I have to say. It was great to feel the freedom again...

Faith, Bullie trying to be free....

A Day in the Life of a Bullie...

-SIGHS-

Mommy's not in a good mood today, and it's all my fault! -SAD EYES-

Maybe I should start from the beginning...? Give the background details...? Bill 132 (Ontario Pit Bull Ban)!!! -GRRRR- I have to be on a leash with a muzzle at all times, unless I'm in an enclosed area. We don't have one of these "enclosed" areas at home right now. See Mommy and Daddy just bought a brand new house and the fence for the yard can not be put in until spring. This means that when my sister and I have to go out, we (rather I) have to be on our leashes and go for a walk. THANKS BILL 132!!! Mommy can't just open the door and let me in the "yard" like all our neighbours do.

So, anyway... Mommy's be a little "under the weather" this past week, so she's just been putting us on our long leash to let us in the yard to potty, rather than taking a walk. This way she can stay in her PJ's in the house at the back door - I know... she's so LAZY! BOL Today, she was letting Denali out back as I patiently waited for my turn. Well, didn't this new dog and his Mama come over into our "yard" to meet Denali. So of course Denali started to play with him. Well... I wanted to play too! So against Mommy's wishes and my better judgement I ran full steam into the yard, right at his Mama to say "hi, how's it shakin'?" Well, his poor Mama was afraid for her life and screamed "bloody murder". Of course Mommy demanded that I get in the house right that very minute while trying to assure this guy's Mama that I'm a very friendly dog who just wants to play. This guy, Amigo, was a pretty cool dog, but he was kinda scared of me, so he ran away. Well, this signifies "play" to me, so I chased him around the house, into the front yard, and down the street - to his front door (a few houses down). Well, hot on our tails were Mommy and Amigo's Mama. We were both in trouble, or rather I was in trouble and Amigo's Mama wanted to make sure I hadn't "tore him limb from limb". Can you image that..?? Who would do such a thing? Anyway, my Mommy had to apologize to Amigo's Mama and make sure she and Amigo were ok. I think a big bullie charging at her gave her a mini heart attack..?? Thanks alot PSL and Bad Press!!

Anyway... long story short, I did something I know I was not susposed to do - I scared the neighbours to death and gave my Mommy a good scare (she thought the neighbour might call the Police or Animal Services on me even though I didn't really do anything wrong -POUT).

Mommy says this would NEVER have been such a big deal if it wasn't for BSL and all the bad press we've been getting. -SIGHS- Mommy said that if the roles were reversed and Denali did what I did, it would have been cute and no one would have cared! The things we bullies have to deal with on a daily basis... Also, my Mommy says that all dogs should be kept on a leash when out in public, unless in designated off leash areas, or rural areas - what business did Amigo and his Mama have being on our property in our so called "yard"..? But, thank goodness I am a good girl, because tresspassing wouldn't matter if I had "misbehaved". My furry behind would have been hauled off by Animal Services and I would be joing all the others across the Rainbow Bridge.

Oh, the life of a bullie (and his Mommy too) - isn't it grand! THANKS BILL 132!!!
