we lost him

this afternoon passed one of the best dogs anyone could ever ask for. He went suddenly, passing away in my bedroom. He was running and playing yesterday, this morning prancing like a prince in his kingdom on his morning walk. There was no warning, which means he couldnt have suffered at all before he went. Hug your dogs close, because today i lost the other half of me

This weather is changing fast pups. Trees are all turning colors, its not hot in here all the time. Dad says soon we will be getting snow again. YAYYYYYYY we love snow, so its getting time that mom needs to be getting out our coats again. Hehe Life is sure nice up here. we have momma around lots now since she cannot work in canada, and we have our guy around all the time giving us lots of attention. Its a doggon wonderful life I tell you.

Neighbor downstairs has gotten a new puppy, a husky pup. Cant wait till she is big enough to play with me.

OK, if you guys have never put an ad in the lists for meats, you gotta. Momma got deliveries for days, from one ad! My lunch just now, was a ROAST. Yup, all to myself! Mom normally make s a fancy meal for us, but has been just cooking the meat today in order to make room in the freezer (she will mix it up laters) So she just put down a dish full of meat for us! I LOVE my momma!

New recipes!

WOOOHOOOOOOO! Mom came up with a great score on some organ meats from a butcher, so we are getting some NUMMMMMMY foods made up. She has the giant cauldron sized pots out. You know the ones that take up the whole stove?! LOL

Well, the one she has going right now is : fresh sweet potato, fresh green beans, fresh apple, fresh parsley & mint from the garden, strawberries from the garden, and lamb with chicken gizzards.

Next batch is: beef roast, beef heart, potatoes, fresh green beans, fresh baby carrots, Spinach, Rice

Then its the pork with fresh sweet potato, fresh green beans, fresh apple, fresh parsley & mint from the garden, and cantaloupe!

Can you tell the heat wave is finally over?! *rotfl* Now its time to refill our freezer!

OK, mom is the best mom ever. No more kibble bibble in my bowls. Nope, here on out I get steaks, roasts, ducks, rabbits, chickens, goose, boneless pork chops, eggs, liver..... I can handle the vegetables that she thinks I don't notice so long as this yummy yummy meat stuff keeps on trucking my way! YUM YUM! We get more treats now than we used to too! Plus all the great foods. She even cooks for us when its too hot for her to cook for herself! This is PAWSOME

camping adventure

First, gramma came over to play with us. We got to play with her and her old border collie for the whole first night. For some reason momma kept grabbing things like our back packs, getting them adjusted for us to wear, and grabbing our food! Gramma told us it was ok, and we got to wiggle at her to keep distracted. Uh huh. The next thing you know, mom was loading up the truck up with all kinds of stuff, and she loaded us in too! We watched gramma waving from the door as we drove away.

It took furever but we got to the campgrounds. As we watched from the truck, suddenly mom had a whole tent home set up for us! It was pawsome. We got to run and play for a while on leash while mom ran the entire campground with us! Oh the bouncing and snorting was grand I tell you. But soon she had us on tie outs, and we had to stay in one area while the smoke from the fire kept following us around! This was the start to a grand adventure. *sigh*

First we had smoke in our eyes, and keeping us from being able to breath well. Then came the chipmunks. If squirrels are tree rats, these are tree mice! These tiny creatures surrounded us, darting in to invade our camp. Next came some odd looking bluejays, about a dozen of them! Soon it was 30 degrees, we couldn't breathe, and we were surrounded by tiny wild creatures after our lunch! Mom took us for walks, but even moving and wearing sweaters it was getting colder. (later we found out that it was snowing not far away from us)

By the time we were able to go to bed we were shaking from the cold even with sweaters, and ended up sleeping on top of momma and daddy's mummy bags, under a zero degree sleeping bag! We were perfectly comfy so long as we stayed under the cover, but mom and dad were in pain from the cold slipping past the terma pads and the large tree roots under them. Come morning, not even light out yet, the next days adventure started. We again got to explore, running among the trees and examining the flowers. We got a neighbor moved in who had a Pomeranian. They were setting up for a huge white water celebration being held this weekend. Thus started the barking from Brigid as the man scoured the entire campground for any wood he could find. They tried to get us to go, but daddy has an appointment friday so we had to come back. I am bummed that we missed the pawty, but you dont know how glad i was to come home! Gramma was waiting for us, and we were wiggling so hard we pinned her to the couch and Brigid sat on her head kissing her!

We reallllllllllly just wanted to come home!

So gramma came over to see us yesterday! She says it was to help mom with her business stuff, but we all know that's not true. Nope, it was to see ME! And she brought Brittany too. I loves having dogs come over, so I spent the next 6 hours kissing everybody. After a while mom made me go lay down, but I always ended up back over there kissing again.

I love my gramma!
