Being outdoors and causing trouble. Tucker likes to eat table food whenever he can steal it or sucker some newbie into giving it to him. Foreign food (non dogfood) ALWAYS makes him end up puking on the floor a few hours later.
Being woken up or moved while sleeping, having things that he's stolen taken away from him, rain and being petted on the head without permission.
Socks, lingerie, rope and kong
Cooked white rice, what I'm eating, what I drop or spill
Ft. Ward Park, anywhere I'll let him go
I adopted Tucker through BRAT, an orginization that only deals with Basenji and Basenji mixes. Tucker is a bit aggressive and protective and the family that had him had a baby. They were afraid Tucker might eat the kid. He bit a 14yo a while ago when with the original family. I've seen him snap at my neighbors, but it's only because he needs to do the approaching. He only defends when threatened but would never actually 'go after' someone.
Tucker spent most of his life in Massachusettes but is adjusting to life in Virginia rather nicely. He has the run of the house and has thus far treated this freedom with respect (aside from a few toilet incidents). He's a bit unique in that his tail is not long and curly like most Basenji's. The previous owners got Tucker when he was 6 mos. old and they haven't any clue why his tail was cropped or pulled off either, but it was that way when they got him almost 4 years ago.
If you drop it, I'll eat it! - Tucker
